So I think my worst one was when we had some roofers at my house to redo the shingles. And no, I don't have an illogical fear of roofers; the issue was that no one told me they were coming. So I got up that morning to get some breakfast and looked out the window. It was mostly dark out, and all I see is the outline of some stranger through the kitchen window... now naturally, I freak out, and to add to my panic, I see him pull something out of his pocket that looked to me like a knife. Now, I'm not sure if it really was a knife (they're probably good for something when roofing a house I'm sure) or if my mind was just messing with me, but that's what I saw. So my first thought is "Oh shit... this guy is going to kill me and my family and we're all doomed". I dropped to the floor and army crawled as quickly as possible to my sister's room where my mom and sisters were (my dad was at work at the time). I started screaming at them at that point, trying to tell them that a guy was outside our window and was going to kill us. Seeing as I was in hysterics, my mom screamed back at me. I took it as panic... actually she just needed me to hear her over my own screaming xD. But it only added to my fear... until she managed to calm me down long enough to say "Sweetie... I guess we forgot to tell you... but we're having the roof redone... that's a roofer". Laughter ensued, resulting in great amusement for my mom and siblings, whilst I contemplated a good place to dig a hole to crawl into and die.
So that's my story, anyone else got one? |
hahaha! Thats hilarious! Well, at least you got out alive to live another day protecting your family from dem pesky roofers!
The rest of you guys though.. really scary. Thank God you/we're all still alive!
