Hmmm. I live with my father and 2 brothers. Maybe the reason I like girls is because their heterosexual tendencies rubbed off on me? Doubted, because I knew I liked girls when the household was still nuclear.
On the issue of single parents raising children:
Living with my father I had to learn a number of things on my own when it came time to be a "woman". Like getting ready for school dances, what to do during "That time of the month" what products to use in my hair, how to use make-up, all that stuff. My mother wouldnt have tought me any of that stuff if she was around though..

I agree with the poster who questioned how single mothers or single fathers manage - how is that different? That logic would suggest that single parents shouldn't be allowed to raise children either.
