Jealousy?

What are the signs that a girl is jealous? This is something I've been asking myself for a while.
Today, me and friend (we're both females, I'm bi, she's straight), who I'll call M were talking and playing a lot during class, and afterwords, another friend of mine, who I'll call A showed up and started talking to me. M immediately goes quiet, and starts frowning, like she always does when I'm with A.

OP here. Sorry, I accidentally posted this before finishing.

Like I was saying, I used to be in love with A, and M knows it. She always appears jealous when I talk to A. Now, my question is, why would a straight girl be so jealous of another girl? It doesn't make any sense...

i have a similar problem but that is because i have 2 best friends, fighting for attention is sort of something that does happen. Especially if you just drop a whole conversation and pick up another with said person. no one likes to be left out.
