It occurs probably every hour or even more than that and can last up to 5 minutes. Generally it lasts a minute. Everything just seems to slow down, my vision gets blurry and I see tunnel vision with whatever I'm staring at that moment. I also get where someone can be talking to me, and all I hear are whatever background noise is present, or the thoughts pinging around my brain like a pinball machine. I cannot tell my teacher about this... I'm trying to attend counseling, but it's not working so well because I'm in school so my counselling stops as soon as school is finished. I can't afford to lose this.. I saw a psychiatrist just to give me a refill for my SNRI's (antidepressants), and he thinks that increasing the dose will help the dissociation and just thinks I have an issue with depression. My sleeping has been sporadic, either napping all the time, or waking several times during the night. I have no idea what to do. |
