I have been really sad over the last few years but it's gotten worse lately. The problem is I have no access to a counsellor or a therapist, next to zero friends and the rest I can't talk to, my parents will just laugh at me and they are more strict than Hitler himself. What other choices do I have?

I don't know how old you are, but you may get help from your doctor. If you have a feeling of sadness for no apparent reason that last for a long time, your condition may be a physical condition that can be treated. If you're old enough and depending on the state or country you live in, your treatment may be confidential--your parents won't know. Also, if you are feeling suicidal or having serious thoughts of death, call the suicide prevention hotline. It's free. They are trained counselors that know how to deal with depression and know resources in your area.

Most importantly, keep talking to people. I suffer from depression also. It is very treatable. I misunderstood that this was always going to be my way of life from now on. There is hope and help. Please post on my wall or send me a private message if you can. I'm all ears.
