| Posting Anonymously Posts: 34,191 Join Date: Dec 2007 | so there's this guy at my gym that i think is gay. he wears really skimpy work out clothes. he stares at people at look and it is very unnerving to receive these stares. i ignore. well when i have gone to the locker room, he is usually lingering around in there completely naked. it's not that he is changing clothes, he is just walking aroiund in there naked i guess after he gets out of the shower and standing around almost as though he wants people to look at him. again, for most normal people that shower at a gym, they shower, put a towel around theirselves, go sit down and change their clothes. i can come into the locker room and he's naked. and i can go, change my clothes and get into my work out clothes, lock my stuff up and leave the locker room and still there's no ounce of clothes on him so he is trying to show himself off and cruise. it's really disgusting and it's annoying becuase i do not want to see all of that. yes, it's a locker room and poeple are sometimes naked, but it's a difference between changing yoru clothes and standing around like it's some gross bath house. i can't really say anything to teh gym about it becasue again, people are naked in teh locker room. this annoys me a lot though becuase it's like, why do you have to be sooooo gross. it's like it gives all gay people this slutty sterotype. and before you say "you must like what you see because you keep noticing it", other people (non gays) at the gym have commented on the same guy and i'm not staring at him it's just that he is really putting it in your face (LITERALLY). i have considered changing gyms but i do not want to drive further. |

The problem is less what he's doing than the degree he's doing it to. There's nothing wrong with noticing guys you find attractive at the gym. There's nothing wrong with giving them a slighter longer glance than you would other people. But ogling is considered rude. Similarly, there's nothing wrong with being naked in the changing room - that's the room you change in, after all. And some people don't mind walking from the shower to the changing area without a towel wrapped around them. But walking around nude for long periods of time, especially if coupled with ogling, is also rude. What should you do? Well, keep ignoring the stares in the gym - not much to do about that. If he "puts it in your face" in the changing room, the best tactic to take is not to get angry, but to appear bored, or even a bit sad. "Really? Is this the only way you can enjoy yourself?" If he gets too blatant, you definitely can report him to the gym staff. Lex |

But the mere fact that u are aski..g is probably the reason that he walks around naked in the hopes that some one like u that is curious about those things will b n the gym |
