Sex question

I am a virgin and actually just came out last year so I am still fresh to somethings (blame some of that on being shelter) but I was wondering about anal sex. Considering what comes out there and the fact that you only typically "clean" the outside, what about the inside? When having anal sex, isn't there the possibility of getting more than just lube on you from that?

I am just wondering. I could be completely wrong for all I know. I was just thinking about it and how horribly embarrassed I would be if that happen to me or what my reaction would be if I was in the other position.

Unfortunate messy incidents are certainly possible with anal sex, however 'healthy' people are usually pretty clean down there without having to do anything other than taking a dump.

Waste spends almost all of its time in the gut above the rectum, and only moves into the rectum when it is ready to be expelled. A healthy stool (i.e. that produced by a good diet and exercise) will be firm enough to stay together and won't leave any residue on the inside of the rectum. So as long as you clean the outside, the inside should take care of itself.

Generally it is a good idea to check yourself beforehand though, just in case. Simply using a finger (and some lubricant to help it up there ) allows you to check if there is any residue. If there is, you can try taking a crap, but if that doesn't work or you can't, then you can try douching/enemas. This involves squirting water up there from a syringe or specialised bottle and then expelling it, taking the poo residue with it. Douching should be a last resort though after checking if it is actually required, as it isn't particularly healthy for the rectum to be flushed out like this - but if the only options are douching, risking it or not doing it all...

And even if there is still some sort of accident during sex, then you shouldn't worry too much. Anyone having anal sex will know that this is a possibility and won't be freaked out by it, and condoms will make clean up very easy.

Frankly, sex is messy. We somehow don't think about it when we've got the hots for someone and most of the time- thank god- we remember how much fun it was and how good it felt.

But really- bodies aren't perfect, people sweat during sex, they make strange noises and most of the time you end up having to shower afterward.

So, yes. Anal sex can result in an occasional mess. Everyone is paranoid about it. Yet, we end up doing it because it feels really good.

The best thing to do is go in with a realistic attitude. Most of the time, it's not an issue. There are occasional messy things that can happen. When it does, you just stop, clean up and do something else.

To use the obvious joke, yes, sometimes when you're doing anal, shit happens. And when it's happened to me, I just laugh it off, we head to the shower - no big deal.

Yea, this....its happened to my boyfriend and I but we're comfortable enough with each other that we normally make a joke and just go clean up together....

Sex is/can get messy. Plan for it but don't stress over it.
