| Posting Anonymously  Posts: 34,191 Join Date: Dec 2007 |  stuck So i only just admitted to myself that I'm a lesbian. This in itself is huge because my parents are super religious and I was always told that being gay is a sin. My problem is now that I've admitted it to myself, I don't know what to do. I don't really want to go through the ordeal of coming out because its not like I have been dating girls. On the other hand, if I'm not out, I'll just kinda be stuck on my own. I'm so confused! What should I do?  |

It is not binary, you don't have to be out to everyone. The important thing is that you are out to yourself. If you are interested in dating you can be out to new people that you meet. If you are not not ready to tell your parents/family/friends, you don't have to.
