Default Just wondering

What can cause a loss in appetite? I'm not sure but I have been somewhat depressed and maybe that can be the cause. But is there something that I can do to get my appetite back?

Firstly, this probably ought to go in the Health and Wellbeing section.

But as to getting it back... that depends on why you lost it. If you're sick or have been you have to get better. If you're depressed its different again. Bascially you have to isolate the root of the problem before you can fix it.

In lieu of any other symptoms, yeah, depression might be the cause. During my first depressive episode, I had no appetite at all.

until you get the appetite up, force yourself to eat. mostly when people are depressed they are so consumed with their issues that nothing matters (not even food).

Thanks, I was scared it could be something else because other than depression I feel normal. I ate a little while ago even though I wasn't hungry, I just do that because my family keeps saying that I look really thin and I don't want them to worry. But on a good note I am feeling a little better today because I cried alot last night and I think it released some stress.

Are you doing anything about the depression? Usually the smart move is to take care of the root cause.

If you don't exercise much, you might try kicking that up a notch or two. It can help both with your depression and your appetite.
