Default Is it safe to watch porn?

I am scared of watching porn. At home we have one PC server and all of the computers are connected to it via cables. But I can also be on the internet with wifi (but it's the same internet as the first one) on my MacBook. I would really like to watch some porn, because I haven't seen any for a few years and I haven't seen a lesbian porn yet and I would like to, erm, you know... see what women do to each other

The thing I'm afraid of is that someone would find out. I mean, I have a separate bedroom, so there's almost no chance they would find me watching porn at night, but I'm afraid they could find it out on the server's history (if that exists?). Or is that impossible?

This may sound stupid, but is our internet provider allowed to send us a list with the sites we have searched in the past month or something like that (if nobody asks for it)?

And the final questions - is watching porn legal? I know that porn videos with children are forbidden (I don't want to watch one), but others should be allowed, right?

PS: Don't worry, I'm 18+

Sorry, I'm kind of new to this

I can't help with whether people will find out or not. I've been watching porn for a while and nobody's ever caught me, and we all share the same wifi connection.
I know that the internet company will NOT send you a list of sites you've searched.
Good luck,

King x

Pretty much as long as data limits aren't exceeded you should be fine even then you can just say it wasn't you ...... can't track back to each computer without some serious tech work .... Is it wifi set from adhoc or router?

If you're worried about your browser's history, most browsers have a private browsing mode. It depends on what browser you use, but enabling this allows you to browse the web without leaving any trace on your computer.

I think you should be fine if you just use private browsing, and ISPs don't send a list of sites viewed with the bill comes (at least if nobody asked).

I would agree with this. Unless there is a person with a good knowledge of computers in your house and they happen to be snooping around, what Ocra and some of the others said should cover you.

Also, no porn is not illegal as long as everyone is of legal age

Of course porn is legal... And your history is stored locally in your browser, so no one else will be able to tell if you do. Just delete your history if you're worried about it.

Using Incognito and other browser features won't stop somebody with a high level of computer knowledge from accessing the server logs and seeing what was going on. However, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Like somebody else said, you'd need somebody very tech savvy who is constantly getting a report of the Internet traffic in your home. I'd say 99% of home Internet users don't go to those lengths. Browse with Incognito or InPrivate or whatever your specific browser offers, and only go to sites that you know won't leave nasty viruses on your computer. Never download anything.
