| Posting Anonymously Posts: 50,862 Join Date: Dec 2007 | I'm really confused about my jean size (these are juniors sizes). I'm 5'5" and weight 109 pounds averagely. If this helps, I measured my waist/hips measurement before, my hips are 78 cm, my waist is 63 cm. I honestly don't think I'm very skinny, but I'm told I am, so I guess I somewhat am. Anyways, last year when I bought jeans/jean shorts I bought from sizes 5 to sizes 7. The waist was always a bit large on me, as well as the.. crotch area, but I never paid much attention to that. I went to the store to buy jeans the other day, and I told the salesgirl (she was really cute, but that's off topic ) that I was a size 6. She didn't believe me, and got me smaller sizes until we found which fit me best, which happened to be a size 0. Yes, they're tight, but they're skinny jeans, so they're meant to be. It's not like they're badly tight, I think... How tight should skinny jeans be? Now I just bought another pair of jeans from another store today, and they were a size 00. The legs are a bit long, but I'll deal. Anyways, now I'm confused on what size I am. I guess the 7's and stuff are too big, but is it possible for me to be a 00/0? I'm not super skinny, and my legs aren't as skinny as plenty of girls I've seen too. So I don't know... |

Location: Canada Age: 24 Posts: 283 Join Date: Jan 2012 | If you are 5'5 and weight 109, I am assuming you are really skinny. I am 5'1 and at one point I weighed 109 (not anymore lol), I was wearing size 0 women jeans. I am gonna assume you are talking about girl jeans. The styles of girl jeans are usually made to hug your legs more and accentuate female hips and curves. I've never really gotten jeans that weren’t too long for me since I am pretty short, so I usually have them hemmed or do it myself. I only know my sizes for guy jeans now and they usually go by inches around the waist and inches for the length. But again, because I do have female hips, I have to have slightly larger men's sizes for the waist and the length is usually a little too long. ps .. shopping and being helped by a cute sales girl is AWSOME lol (now I sound like a pervert ...

The fashion industry doesn't have any standards in sizing. I have pants that range in waist sizes as small as 34 and as large as 40 that fit the same, although most are 36. (The pair that say 40 is the one pair that actually uses a true measurement) |
