Ok so I returned to my hometown.. a small, country place which is for the most part homophobic.. I came here for work.

I am still single, and turning 26 this year.. I am feeling a bit crowded and away from anything 'gay'.. I know there may be something out there, but feel the past has tarnished any good that may be there.

Do I stay here for work and keep living this way, or should I be somewhere more happening.. I am not overly satisfied with it here, but it is hard with my studies, past and abilities to get steady work..

I left my shit-hole of a hometown when I was 20 and went to university. It NEVER even entered my head to go back, although I know quite a few people who went back to their families and hometown after their studies.

I think you already know the alswer to your question.

Sure, a job is important, but cities have work opportunities too, especially as you have work experience.

You'll just feel unfulfilled for a few more years, then wish you'd done it sooner, then think it's too late now......
