so i live with my older brother because my step mom kick both of us out and he recently let his frired whose a guy live with us and now i have to share a room with him which normaly i wouldnt care about but the fact that this boy took advantage of me really freaks me out my brother thinks we should be friends again but i dont think i can forgive him i shouldnt be scared of my own house what should i do i cant stand that man plus he hates the fact that im a lesbain and hes convinced he can make me love him help!

OK, the sentence above requires elaboration. How did this guy "take advantage of you"? Are you talking sexually? If not, please provide a bit more detail. How old are you? How old is he?

If he took advantage of you sexually, and it was unwanted, that's rape or sexual assualt, plain and simple, and there is no circumstance where that's OK, even if you "gave in" or "didn't resist" or whatever else.

I have absolutely zero tolerance for men that do this sort of shit, and I strongly believe that the only way we change the culture in which such behavior is acceptable is to make it very clear. While it may not be practical to file a police report depending on how long it's been, you could totally put the fear of God into him by telling him the next time he even looks at you the wrong way, you'll file a police report and seek a restraining order.

Your brother either doesn't understand what happened, or is a complete clod. Not only do you owe this "friend" nothing, you certainly should not have to live with him. I think you also need to have a serious conversation with your brother. If he's so excited about having this guy live in the house, then the guy should be living in your brother's room, not yours, but realistically, he should be in jail, not living in anyone's house.

Wow.. I now I really don't know what to say. I don't have a brother but I have many close guy cousins & If I told them anything related to being taking advantage of, I know they'd do something. Especially if they know the person. All I can say now is that to stay strong. If your brother's friend does something again, you should take action.

Yeah, that may be true. But what isn't your fault is the fact that he is STILL hitting on you and thinks he "can make you love him". (What a jerk)

You have to put your foot down and keep at your brother, this is kind of a big deal. Otherwise... you COULD report to the police as "sexual harassement". Worst case, just saying!
