Hey....just wanted to ask this anonymously.

I am male and when i (hopefully) meet a perfect guy.....i think he'll be put off me because anal sex doesnt really appeal to me....and im a bit small down there.

Am I being paranoid?

There are other things I enjoy doing in bed much more than anal.

Paranoid's kind of an overstatement, but yeah, I wouldn't over-worry about it.

First off, last survey I saw said that roughly 50% of gay men "rarely" or "never" engaged in anal sex. So there's that.

Secondly. a lot of gay men enjoy anal sex only as a recepient. You may try it, and decide you're in that group. You may not, but hey, you never know.

Thirdly, it's quite common for guys to think they're "a bit small down there" even when they're not. Especially if you've been watching porn - you may start thinking that most guys are around 10" and ready 24/7. Uh, no. As mentioned elsewhere on this site, on average, most guys are between five and six inches. And even if you're smaller than that, it doesn't mean you can't "top" in anal and please someone.

So yeah, don't worry about this too much. :)

First, as with the similar-but-opposite thread of lesbians not liking oral sex, if you really don't want to, you don't have to, and you can do other things with a partner, which they should respect.

When you say small down there - which capacity exactly are talking about exactly? If you know what I mean? If you are in a loving relationship they shoudn't care at all about your size. Plus there are always toys and things... But if it's you that's worried (such as when receiving), well, as a woman, I can tell you that I was convinced that well, it wouldn't fit, but patience, practice and lubricant go a very long way! (Different situation I know, but similar worry!)

Even if your first few times aren't too great, you will soon work out what works for you both so I shouldn't worry about it too much.

It's not all about sex. You are deffinately not the only gay guy who doesn't like anal sex. If he turns out to be the perfect guy then this wont be a problem for him.

Anal Sex? It wasn't something that necessarily appealed to me in the begninning either. There are lots of things to do instead. HOWEVER, with some experience, and once you have some other skills 'under your belt' (pardon the pun), you might find yourself interested in trying it. That was my experience anyway.

With the right guy, with the right attitude, it can be REALLY, REALLY good. (!)

Someone (Karabulut I think) explained in another thread that the prostate is not very far inside - you can reach it with a finger - so you don't need a massive penis to stimulate it. :thumbsup:

Yes, the prostate is only 1-2 inches inside. The finger is far better at hitting it than a penis. And the search for it can be quite fun. :lol:

The way anal sex is assumed to the end-all of gay sex is one instance where online discussions and porn misrepresent what gay men do in real life. There are a lot of gay men who do not enjoy anal sex but find plenty of other ways to get off with their partners.

Imagination and a healthy attitude toward your body will give you and your partner far more pleasure than any particular sex act.
