She didn't mean it badly, and it's amusing. I hate this whole over sensitive and politically correct stance that people take on things like dumb songs.

I find it annoyingly catchy as well. What's your opinion on it? Are you offended?

I think it's kinda stupid. Not only is it reinforcing stereotypes, it's also mocking this guy for being feminine. How is that supposed to make feminine men feel?

I was sent a copy of the song about four or five months ago. I didn't like it at all then, and it hasn't grown on me a bit since then. It's funny only in a crashingly obvious way - nothing about it is clever or interesting to me in the least. And every time I mention that I don't like the song to somebody, I'm told I'm too uptight and have issues. No, I'm not. No, I don't. I just think the song's crappy. I went through this same thing when Andrew Dice Clay was the comedian of the moment back in the early 90s - if I wasn't howling with laughter, I was too easily offended.

Well I think the song actually is more gay friendly. If you think aboot it. Right, so if you look at the video the girl is liking dying her hair and cutting it and looking pretty sad. So perhaps it's a look at the damage you do to others when you lie to yourself. Such as if a gay person doesn't like his girlfriend because he's gay then that girl might take the dislike personally.
