Let's see about me? Let's see. I'm a 39 year old mom of a 16 year old daughter. I'm in a great relationship with the woman who is perfect for me. We live almost 7 hours apart, but it's working so far.

I'm out to a few people at work and most of my daughter's friends know. I don't have many friends where I live but have several friends where my partner lives. I want to come out to my parents, but haven't figured out how. I'm sure they know. I was in a relationship and lived with my previous partner for a long time. In fact she lives in my attic right now.

I guess I have been thinking a lot more about coming out to my parents since my partners neighbor passed away last week and his partner was snubbed a little by the family. I want my family to know and accept things as they are. If I die before my partner I want her to have all say in everything that goes on. It's just so sad. I don't want to pretend that I'm not gay anymore.

I just don't think I can tell my parents face to face.

Now, if you had a daughter, did you ever have a husband? If you did, it sounds like you certainly don't have one right now. How did that work out? How has your daughter taken all of this?
