I've heard that oral sex between women is the safest form of sex? Is this true? What are my risks of contracting an STD this way?
Also, I have had some...um...symptoms that I'm a little concerned about, but I'm afraid to be tested as I am still a minor and would not want my parents to find out. What are my rights? Where can I go for confidential testing that won't want my address/home phone. I don't want my parents intercepting any phone calls/mail. Any advice?

well as far as I have heard oral sex between women is the safest as far as HIV/AIDS is concerned its said that it is a lot harder to get HIV/AIDS through women having oral sex but as far as other stds I would think that the risk is the same such as herpes, you can give oral sex and contract it on your tongue or mouth. about the confidentiality thing you can get tested and you have every right to keep it between your doctor and yourself and no matter what they have to keep it confidential. Though you have to make sure you read everything before you sign anything because they can have you sign a form that gives them permission to give your confidential information to your parents and by signing that release form you gave your doctor permission so just make sure you watch what you sign but under the law they are not allowed to tell your parents anything without your permission.

Actually... I looked this up sometime at the beginning of the school year. (hey I was bored!)
There is a website that will tell you where you can get tested near you. You put in your address and it will show you where the closest place is AND their confidential policy. In my state, Arkansas, it will do confidential but not anonymous. Anonymous is when they give your file a number and not a name. Some states won't do anonymous. I do believe there are some states that won't do it without your parents. (the whole being 18 thing) I am not 100% sure on that. It has been a very long time sense I last saw the website. I will try to find it and put a link on here. (if it is allowed) I found a good website that I went to constantly to find out stuff. It was a website made to help teens/youth who wanted to know about STD's and things along those lines.
p.s.
If someone of authority could get back to me, I can show you the website and you can see if you believe it is appropriate or not. (I believe it is. I wouldn't want to assume though and get in trouble.)

Safest, i think it would be fair to say so in terms of HIV/AIDS but most other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI, it's changed from STD) it's a level field of risk.
The best way to tell, ask her straight up (pardon the pun) if she has had sex with anyone else that could've given her an infection. If she cares about you, she'll tell you the truth. Don't be afraid to ask, it'll be much worse if you don't.
Also, I have had some...um...symptoms that I'm a little concerned about, but I'm afraid to be tested as I am still a minor and would not want my parents to find out. What are my rights? Well, firstly, depending on your symptoms and how serious the infection they may indicate is, you may not have a choice of waiting. I doubt it's something life threatening, because you may have seen some pretty undeniable symptoms by now.
The only way we can help you, is if you list some of your symptoms. If you're willing to do that either here or even PM me, then i'll be happy, as others here im sure, to help you figure out what you may have.
Once we know or have some guesses, then we'll see if we can hold it off til your 18 birthday (not healthy if your bday is more than 3 months away, the longer you wait the worse it gets) or if you have to swallow your pride and go with your parents.

One word: herpes. Alot of STDs can live just as comfortably in your throat as in your netherbits- they're not all that different, environment-wise. And did you know that cold sores are a strain of herpes? Yes, yes indeed. AIDS is not the only STD there is to worry about. If you're worried, use the dyke's best friend- saran wrap- until you're both tested, and make sure you're getting regular PAP tests even if you're not sexually active.
