I recently saw In The Heights, which was my first Broadway play experience ever. it was amazing. what plays have you guys seen (broadway or not since broadway is only in nyc).

EDIT:

My favorites have been Spamalot and Avenue Q, both I saw in the West End. Absolutely hilarious.

ohh, where to start... wicked, rent, av Q and bare. my top 4..

there is a really good show called 'Zanna Don't'
i can send you the soundtrack/video later if you would like.

but it has 7 actors, and every character is gay, untill 2 of them, realise they are straight, but they are affraid to be straight... so they hide it.
untill the gay cupid (cant change them, but he can change the world) puts a spell on the world so they arent hetro-phobic, then they are all straight except cupid.
it is an awesome show... :)

If I ever go to New York... I will need many many many many theatre hours. I've seen stuff in Melbourne (very little professionally, though) but I can't say I've been toooooooo impressed by the big productions I've seen here (something about the acting, I think, or production styles very out of whack with the venue). The musicals themselves, however, in writing and composing senses... there are far too many awesome ones to list.

I LOVE Broadway. It's my future place of employment. :icon_wink

I saw The Lion King and Wicked there last year, and Mary Poppins, A Chorus Line, and Phantom of the Opera this year. I got a photograph with the lady playing Rafiki, met Julia Murney, who was playing Elphaba at the time, got my playbill signed by the Phantom, and (my favourite) brought a pair of old pointe shoes for the cast of A Chorus Line to sign. Got most of the signatures, too.

I went to England and France in the summer between fifth and sixth grades with People to People, a student ambassador organization. While I was in London, we went to West End and saw a play called Whistle Down the Wind. Anybody seen it? I still listen to the soundtrack- it was fabulous.

I'm dying, absolutely dying to see Wicked on stage.
It hurts, how much I want to see it. XD
I've only ever seen smaller productions, in Toronto.
We Will Rock You and Dirty Dancing are the only two big stage productions i've seen....but I love theatre!!!
I'm going to move to London and spend all my time in West End. >.<
I was thiiiiiiiiis close to seeing Wicked on my trip to London, but noooo, some stupid idiots had to ruin it for me by being caught with drugs and then we couldnt go...>.<

I'm a bit bitter about that. XD

Rent, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Lion king... (actually, make that all Disney-turned-broad way)
