I guess I have not been around after I first joined, but let's see if I can become a regular here. Anyway, on to my story.
I work at the airport, so I was in front of a lot of passengers. My friend Kendall comes up to me and asks me if I have a girlfriend, to which I respond no. In a joking tone he asks if I have a boyfriend and I said yes (at the time I was in a relationship, single now). It was funny because he took it as a joke and said, "what kind of girls do you like?" I told Kendall, "I thought I told you I had a boyfriend." His next response was so funny, "Uh....ummm....hmmm...well this doesn't change anything between us, I won't think anything different of you....ummmm.....I am going to talk to Susan now." I then told Kendall, "so because of what I told you, you're going to just brush it off and talk to Susan?" Then Kendall was like, "well your response was the last thing I had in mind." I told Kendall, "You're a good friend. I am not going to lie to you." Kendall said, "well.....I feel so privelaged that you told me, but it's kind of awkward because now I don't know how to check out guys with you. I don't know your type and....uh..."
Kendall was so shocked because I am a very masculine guy. I do all of the "guy" things, I talk like a guy, sound like a guy, so he assumed I was into girls (those were his exact words). The reason he had asked if I had a gf is because I was always so busy with work and school and now that I just graduated from college, he was wondering why don't I ever talk about girls. He said I either had a gf that was so hot I had to keep it on the dl, was seeing a girl who was not yet my gf, or.....................into guys.
Later on in the day Kendall asked another co-worker of mine who is out to everyone if I was telling him the truth. She laughed and said that I was. He asked me again after work.
