I play the Viola:thumbsup:, and I'm working a little on bass and guitar. I'm also thinking about buying a piano, violin, and cello. So I can get an all around feel of things. I love music. There is something so rewarding about it. I don't know. I'm just a hobbiest, but I wanted to know if anyone else plays anything, and what they play.:smilewave

You play the viola?! That's AWESOME, there aren't enough viola players in the world :)
I play the piano, oboe, drums, and ukulele. I also try to sing a bit :p I tried to play the guitar once but I found it really hard and unrewarding, because I'm left handed and couldn't afford a proper lefty guitar.
I'm a hobbyist for the drums and ukulele, although I will start getting drum lessons soon. I'm currently working on grade 8 piano (uuugh >.<) and will start grade 6 oboe when I'm back at school (double uuuugh >.<)

I can futz around on the piano OK. (I only took lessons for ELEVEN years - you'd think I'd be better.) I'm OK on a synth, but not great. I'm actually pretty good on a pipe organ - I've played in a church. :)
I tried bass, but sucked at it, so gave it away. I do play a killer tambourine, though.

I can play the piano. If you use "play" to describe the perversion I inflict upon the artist's vision. I ended up taking about five years of lessons to please my mother, who had this image of me serenading her in her old age. When I wasn't producing grandchildren that is. Seems I was a disapointment on two counts.
I still love to tinkle on the old ivories every now and then.

i play the guitar, and have done for about 4 1/2 years i think. I like to think im pretty good lol,i can play most things pretty quickly and given a bit of time even the more difficult things i can get. i do find it really rewarding to sit down and just play..it relaxes me. I found it difficult to start with but then i remember at a certain point,it might have been around 2 or 2 1/2 years i suddelny had a breaj through and improved loads really quickly which was awesome and made me feel it had been worth sticking with :)

I play the piano, the clarinet, the soprano sax, the alto sax, and the bass clarinet all proficiently. Then there's the indian flute, the recorder, and the zither that I own... but you can't say that I "play" them.
I also sing (bass).

I play guitar mainly, although I mess on the ukulele as well as all kinds of Guatemalan flutes and percussion I've picked up through various mission adventures. Oh, and I sing. I love music, it is so meditative.

Yeah, I play violin and piano/keyboard.
I want to learn how to play guitar, but most of all, THE CELLO!!
I won't die happy if I haven't learned how to play the cello.
That's how desperate I want to play it!

Play quite a few.
Piano- 5 years
Clarinet- 2 years
Flute- 1 year
Alto/Tenor Sax-1 year
I've played the viola and recorder but I forgot them a long time ago.
I really want to learn the oboe and bass though.
Maybe guitar but I prefer those I said before. :]
My favorite instrument has to be the sax though.
I'd buy a baritone but they're REALLY expensive. :[

I have a trumpet my aunt gave to me, but I hardly ever use it. I can't remember the last time I brought it out of the case, actually.
I also play a little bit of the piano, all self-taught. I've never been to lessons and I wouldn't want to, I'm not THAT interested. Waste of time and money. But I still teach myself little pieces of songs I like every now and then. I'm not that good and the process is slow, but it's something.

I took piano lessons for 1 year in elementary school... that was like torture. But as an undergrad I took piano for a music requirement, found I really like it, stayed with it for 3 years. I don't have a huge repertoire, but did work up to some fairly complex pieces. Still not great at sight reading, and a lot of technique yet to learn.

Flute. I'm decent at it, not amazingly great or anything. I'd love to learn bass properly though, i fiddled around with it a few years ago and i want one of my own now D:

I seem to specialise in things with frets (especially guitar in many styles, banjo, ukulele and mandolin) and am somewhat proficient at things with keyboards (piano, organ, etc.) but never took the formal technique practice seriously enough and while I've got the theory downpat and can sight-read, my fingers are pretty unresponsive to my brain on piano (mainly because for about a decade I've only had a very out of tune one to practice on).
Word on the street is I have an alright sense of rhythm, but confront me with anything more complex than triplets and semi-quavers on paper and I go all jelly-like. This makes me a good guitarist, but a bad pianist.
I also tootle on things with fipples (recorder, etc.), or diatonic harmonica, and have dreams of playing other things with reed-type things, particularly bari or alto sax and accordion.. just need the money/right shops (ever tried to browse for piano-accordions in Melbourne? fruitless if you're the slightest bit picky).
In the past I have played big noisy brass things and classical strings. Haven't been so great with the wooden ones for a long time and had to stop playing brass due to lack of access, but want to resume.. again, need money.
I cannot sing, but when I pretend to it's tenory or in really bad falsetto. I think. My ear for melody is pretty good ("playing by ear", etc.), but not quite so much for different octaves.. which makes me look really dumb in surprisingly many situations (such as tuning up any completely detuned string instrument).
I dream of having the confidence to play drums loudly enough to be able to co-ordinate myself.
I will stop talking now,

I play the harp. It sucks!
Okay, well, maybe I would enjoy it if I wasn't being forced by my grandmother to take lessons from an annoying woman who makes me want to scream! I haven't had a lesson all summer or even practiced, though, 'cause of all my dancing. I would love it if I could self-teach. But grandma won't have that! *rolls eyes*
I also play piano, with lessons from the same woman. I'm self-taught on the guitar and pretty decent, and I can play the recorder. Also I'm a prodigy at the drums, according to my friend, but I don't own and can't afford a set, so looks like I'll only get to play at her house. (Wow. I just spelled house "hows." I need to go back to bed.:icon_wink)
