I'm finally back! I was in the Lake District for two weeks with my family, then I came back for a day (and posted a little), then I went to a church singing course in Bath.
The Lake District was quite nice, but frankly, I prefer Cornwall where we usually go. Also, the whole thing was fraught with rows and rain and it was just a bit crap.
The singing course was so intense. I am now exhausted. We were singing for about 6 hours a day - I definately feel I have improved a lot. The music was very exhilirating. The social aspect of the course was even more challenging though. I always find it kinda hard to connect with people my own age, for various reasons. For example, my GCSE results came while we were there, and because mine were better than other people's, there was a fair amount of jealousy and awkwardness. Also, of course, the girls in my dormitory spent a lot of time talking about their boyfriends and/or boys they fancied. And I developed the mandatory crushes on straight girls that we all know so well.
Just because I have to get it off my chest after not talking to anyone about my inner feelings for a week, I practically fell in love with my shmexy house captain. She was 20 years old, and had short straight black hair, a thin build, and androgynous-y style clothes - and was the most hot person to have ever graced the planet. >.< I can't possibly do her justice in words. She was also so cool, funny and friendly. And she wasn't the only one, there were several cuties there. It was quite hard to keep this enormous crush inside for so long, so that's why I have to tell you chicks about it :)
Anyway, I'm back now, and I had a good time overall. I hope you all had lovely summer/holidays!! I've missed my little gay forum (&&&)
