We have this skit thing on tones and my partner is a gay guy which is cool; he's really nice and always has your back with help if you need it.

But we have to pretend like one of us is proposing marriage to the other; another where we have to act like spies; and another where we act like parent and child. And the teacher gave us our line which is the same for all scenarios.

People are already starting to think I'm gay, and now I have to propose to the gay guy. : |

Maybe I'm weird, but I think it's going to be awkward; and if I don't handle it just right EVERYBODY is going to confirm their theory that I like guys. I couldn't even look at him when we were practicing the whole time I was like "you have got to be kidding me, why did I have to get the gay guy; how come it couldn't be a girl or a straight guy?!?"

I really didn't need any extra attention being brought to sexuality.

Suggestions??

Well... It's not really your choice though. I'm sure your fellow classmates would understand that it's about acting and schoolwork, not your sexuality. Everyone is asked to do stuff in front of the class that they don't want to do.

We only have to pick one.
Thank God.

I read the sheet wrong. Whew.

awwh. well yeah i would be SO NERVOUS to. but make it funny! I give you props for doing this.. If it was me, i would discuss with the teacher that you feel uncomfortable. But knowing me, I would feel REALLY bad for the gay guy..

It's about schoolwork, if someone thinks you're gay because you do a scene with a gay guy (even if its a proposing scene) they need to get their head examined.

I've had something similar done to me in class...I was Romeo to my straight (female) arch nemsis' Juliet, during the scene where Romeo's in Juliet's bedroom. Awkward. Very awkward.

Just do the assignment and screw what everyone else thinks.

I hope you know how much you could of hurt his feelings....
"you have got to be kidding me, why did I have to get the gay guy; how come it couldn't be a girl or a straight guy?!?"

Just grow some and do it.
Its nothing special.
Someone else would of have to be partnered with him.

We decided to do the spy one.
It went well!

I the class had a good laugh because we were done with the skit thing and just sitting in front of the class looking around and i go "TADA!!" out of no where.

Most people laughed; including me... I guess you had to be there. Lol.

Problem solved... TADA!!! x D

Did anyone pick the gay guy one in your class in the end?

Yeah, I stuck with him.
I think he's a cool kid despite the fact that people are nasty and say mean things about him sometimes.

He manages to stay cheery and stuff; He's a trooper. ^-^
