How did your father take it?

I still haven't told my father about myself yet :dry:

I'm just wondering what some other member's fathers' reactions were :) .

My father is one of those very homophobic, masculine guys who always wants power tools but never uses them :lol:

I'm just afraid he'll reject me or kick me out of the house or something similar, and I really don't want that to happen :eusa_doh: . My psychologist said that I should wait as long as I can to tell him, but I'm not sure if that's the best idea....imagine I come home one day..."Dad! I got engaged!!" *hi-five* "Nice, what's her name!" "Bill!" LOL

He's never mentioned it. I told my mum, and she told him, I didn't tell him right out. He's never said a word about it.

My father is from a small rural town, large family, devoutly Catholic.

He had one sleepless night where he discussed it with my mother. That's it. Now he exchanges grilling techniques with my partner. :)
