It doesn't disqualify her in any way, and it doesn't make her a bad person, but I found it interesting. I particularly like how the article states she is "choosing to have the baby", and how Grandma Palin "chose to have her Down Syndrome child", when under McCain/Palin women probably wouldn't get that choice.

Sex outside of marriage? Pretty sure that is a sin, Mrs Palin. ;)

Well I wish her a happy life and I hope her mother realizes how abstinence only education does not work!

God has shown that he looks favorably upon the McCain/Palin ticket by blessing the VP's daughter with the gift of life. In fact, God Himself - in the guise of a huge hurricane - is making his way to the GOP Convention to make a keynote speech.
Vote McCain/Palin - God commands it! :)

Her daughter could have been raped by sasquatch and that women still would never ever even consider abortion as an option, not really surprising xD

It'll be interesting to see how the Republicans manage to spin this one. You all know what they would be saying if this were Biden's 17 year-old daughter.

Well since Biden is a democrat picked by Obama, he'd make his daughter get an abortion

Vote Obama/Biden (Unless you want America to go through another four years of hell!)

I'm an Obama supporter as well but do not feel bad for her daughter. It was her own choice. There are always precautions when it comes to sex and apparently they didn't take them. I'm sure she'll be fine with the baby.

I doubt that would be true.

Probably not. At this point, for McCain, any publicity is good publicity.

And if it was Barack Obama's daughter who was 17 and having the baby, do you think James Dobson would come out and deliver a speech saying how proud he was of the family??? Politics....:bang:

Nope, not on his life!

Things seem to be falling apart fast with this pick for McCain. Even if nothing ever comes of trooper-gate, the bad publicity can't be helping them. And now with this, you have to wonder what the Religious Right is thinking. With all the problems she seems to have brought him, it kind of makes you question McCain's judgement, doesn't it?

Ironic for the win :D
If she can't handle to manage her family, how will she manage our country if/when McCain dies in office (if he even becomes president)?

Exactly. Also, more proof that abstinence-only education doesn't work.
And she has five kids, one of them a baby with DS and another about to have a baby of her own. Shouldn't she and her husband be focusing on taking care of their children rather than trying to get elected? Says a lot about their "family values".
