View Full Version : What do you like in a guy?

Antidoll

Well. the question is not as simple as that...

have you changed your " type " that you're attracted to throughout the years? I know when I was in elementary I used to focus on a different kind of "beauty" and it was different for me who's hot and who's not...

now it's way different, which is normal..

so what kind of guy you like? what do you search for in a guy? personality and physically wise...

you don't have to get into raunchy details... but you could just give a general idea :)

Physically somebody who is different in a good way. Not somebody who wants to conform just to please anybody they are around. They need to care about their appearance but not to the point it is obsessive and they spend a ridiculous amount of time doing so, and they should not be put off by what other peeps think of them.

Personality wise I like shy peeps who only really open up to you when they feel comfortable around you. That way you know for sure that they are comfortable around you. They have to be trustworthy too and not interested in just getting whatever they can and then buggering off to somebody else. Being affectionate and romantic is a bonus too. :D They also need to have a good sense of humor and take things in a light-hearted way, but also need to know when to switch off and be serious.

Hmmm, I have this narrowed down way too much. :p

No, that sounds very much what I like too. Especially the personality. :)

Physically. they don't have to anything special. They sould take care of how they look.
Looking slobbenly is attractive to none.

Personality, someone who is remotely educated; in the sense that an actual conversation about something serious. someone who actually listens to what ive got to say, my conversation tends to stray off into realms totally unrelated to the subject, but someone who will try to understand and not just ummm and aahhh to shut me up.
Also i would like someone who knows the limits of being cheesy.
Being romantic and gentlemanly is should come naturally, but sayign "babe" all the time or "sexy" is just wierd for both of us, and the people around.

I'd like someone who confident, unlike martin. Im a shy person myself so i think another shy person will just get the small talk with me and then we'd lose interest.
Also someone completely random and spontaneous.
Someone who will just quit their days plan because it turns out theres a Kubrick film fest on TV XD aha :)

I havnt thought too much into this:dry:...aha

=D

So long as they groom themselves properly I don't really have a specific look I am going for.

However, the personality is important. They have to be very extroverted. Traveling and animals are important along with music. If the person is over opinionated I will dislike them.

I'd tell you, but I'd be kicked off the site. :)

When I was younger, I liked muscles and hair a lot. Now hair doesn't do a thing for me, and muscles are just an added bonus. Personality, openness, self-acceptance are much more important.

Yeah, Martin nailed a lot of it on the head for me too! (although in my case I'd be surprised if they weren't physically different...)

I also very very much like a bit of stubble - you know, a bit of sexy facial hair :D

But I'm not fussy - they just have to be a nice person

Agreed, especially on having a bit of facial hair! Physically a lot of different guys do it for me actually, not really a specific type that I've narrowed down yet!

Physically, I like guys who carry a few extra pounds (well, more than a few ) and have stubble on their (double) chin, kind of like Seth Rogen's beard (http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/07/01/80628695.jpg). If they aren't chubby, then I can still find a guy very hot if he has very long hair. I just won't find him erotically hot.

Personality wise, I like someone who is a bit socially akward (like myself), not interested in sex, plays video games, is intelligent, and is sure of his opinions, meaning he doesn't flip flop, but will still change them for a good reason. Wow, that pretty much describes my boyfriend. (The personality part, at least.)

At the very core, a level of seriousness. Part of the reason why I find so few people in my age group attractive is because of how loud and abrasive they are. People talk too damn much, especially the people I'm surrounded by.

I like guys that laugh. And are humorous.
I tend to prefer short-haired guys more heh
... and I'm more attracted to shorter guys that people around my height (I just think it's very... frightening to be with someone so much taller than me or just taller than me)

I'm a smoker. It's bad, I'd say all of us that do it are quite aware of the fact that it increases our chances of the above-mentioned bad things happening to us. They can also happen to non-smokers, go figure.

However, if I had a boyfriend and he was heavily opposed to it, I'd quit for him (much like my brother's girlfriend did for him recently). If a guy doesn't want to be with me based on the sole fact that I'm currently a smoker, I don't want him anyway.

Physically, what attracts me the most (and has never changed) is eyes. A gorgeous, twinkling pair of eyes can just melt me. Other than that, my tastes haven't changed over time so much as expanded; I used to be attracted solely to the college jock-type, the Abercrombie studs. Now, I find that most guys who care at least a little bit about their appearance can turn my head. Ethnicity and age aren't so much a factor anymore for me.

Personality however will ALWAYS overcome the physical. I LOVE a real, honest guy, who's not a hot gay mess. There seem to be so many of those around me, lol! A sense of humor, a dash of cheesiness, and an uncompromising belief that every day is a gift and should be enjoyed, that's what turns me on!

It makes your breath smell and your teeth yellow!
And it stinks... well in my opinion.

I don't smoke nor do I want to;;

I don't want to heighten my chances of cancer or get yellow teeth or bad breath and i would be miserable because of asthma anyway. Lol.

Yeah, my friends are really loud and abrasive too. It gets annoying fast.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, and Irish accent will melt my heart immediately.

physically I am looking for a guy that's fit, but I am not too picky about that. If they have alluring eyes, thats always a bonus.

To me a relationship is built on emotion. Emotionally I would like a guy that can make me laugh, makes me think, easy to talk to. I am a bit of a romantic too so if he is romantic then it's all good.

Physically big muscles and taller than me x D
Expressive eyes
Not like scabbed and cut up all the time because scabs and things of that nature give me the willies. Lol.
Straight white teeth are nice
Um; doesn't dress like a slob; I like for it to be obvious they practice personal hygiene
Does smelling good count as a physical;; B.O. is not cool... I can understand after practicing a sport but don't come to school smelling like sweaty arm pit and expect for me to be peachy lol.
Same with feet no smelly feet either.

Personality I kind of like over protective x D
Nice, funny, non judgemental; not too serious, a decent level of intelligence is grand and that's about it. :)

Okay peeps, it's a thread on what you like about a guy. Cancer, chemo and other jargon is just off-topic sniping so quit it or i'll stitch your mouths shut and watch you smoke through your ears and nose. :D

But yeah, back on topic and stop slapping each other. :p
