This poll complements my earlier thread on the magazine's name.

Seeing that there are some suggestions, I've decided to post this poll here. The options are above this text.

If you don't like any of them, please suggest a new one. Thanks.

I was going to come back and post that, if you wanted to make it even more simple, you could just use "ECzine" - but I see you already included that.

Actually - on reflection, I kinda like that...simplest is best, maybe?

(outside) thecloset

Written just as so, with the parenthesis. Describes the magazine perfectly. A mix of users in, and out of the closet.

[edit]
'outside' or 'out of' would work, i guess...

How about:

"Coming Out": A magazine for GLBT youth.

"Coming Out": A magazine for GLBT youth.

Mmmm... the thing is, the magazine won't be just about coming out, nor only for GLBT youth...

I think maybe we should try for a one word name... as in- WORD: the empty closets magazine
just another idea.

Any ideas for what that word might be?

But will it remain a "webzine" forever?

Would it not be safer to market it as the online version of the magazine in hopes that some day it may blossom into the world-popular GLBT magazine?

Same problem here... :eusa_shif Believe it or not.. theres actually a google result for "words that start with 'ec' ". Not many to choose from, mind you.
Eccentric...
Ectopic...

Yeah, the ec idea wont really work for this... unless there exists a word that has 'ec' in the middle.

What about "eclectic"? "ec" twice.

Eclectic (adj.) - varied: made up of parts from various sources.

I LIKE it! DOUBLE 'ec'.

It can always change name if it becomes a print magazine. That possibility is far enough into the future that we don't need to consider it yet.

It would be great if it happens, but let's start realistically.

True... but big ideas inspire big accomplishments.

I think that the name has to tell us something about the content.

For example the name of the site, "Empty Closets", tells us what it's about, but ecwebzine tells us that it is.... a webzine?

That is just my opinion - keep things obvious!

Our new name is Full Spectrum.

We changed it because we are now a community project not technically related to EC as an entity (although we are indeed related, and very, to its community)

If it becomes a print magazine it should b called "EC Magazine" just cause it rhymes. lol!

If the magazine isn't just for GLBT youth then (outside) thecloset seems the clearest name to me. Depends a bit on the age you are targeting... took me a few minutes to understand ecwebzine, much less pronounce the word

If the age range also includes parents of people coming out, we are not all computer literate or at ease in this domaine. :eusa_doh:
