Southern California... sunny skies, long, busy beaches, fashionable people, the glitz and glamor of Hollywood.

Northern California... relaxed atmosphere, Nappa Valley, fine cuisine.

No stories this time, never made it that far west yet.

I think of a lot of things.

1. Drought
2. Guns
3. Illegal Mexicans
4. Corrupt government and Arnold
5. Drugs
6. Mexican Flags
7. Gangs
8. And a few places I wouldn't want to find myself alone late at night

Y'all just love copying me. Lol, it's ok, I love you too!

I know it has nothing to do with the California you are talking about, but it makes me think of whales(my favorite animal). It's because here in México, the state of Baja California is a place where the beautiful gray whales live.

Okay, you guys, California is not all that great. It's filled with gangs and violence, close to where I live, not exactly on there. There aren't enough gay teenagers, darn it! At least if you go to San Fran, then there will always be fun parades and stuff. Go Southern California! Except, the conservative parts where people have too many opinions.

Wow... I'm considering myself lucky to live so close to San Francisco (about 30 to an hour, depends on traffic) :)

My city's pretty liberal and... somewhat open-minded (at least all the people I've come out to, they've been really exhilarated with having a gay friend :D)

DISNEY LAND, I wanna go there, YO

Don't forget, if you're visiting California, it's necessary to get In-n-Out :D

*slap* I know only 3 people who actually surf here -.- I'm about 3-4 hours from San Fran I believe...

I could slap half the people in the thread LOL, gotta love stereotypes of california.

I relate Cali to my personal experience of being in the military. Weather was the most beautiful I had ever been in but the military can suck the fun out of any place. That and I went to the Defense Language Institute to learn a language no one has ever heard of (Urdu, aka Pakistani) and I was stressed to the max.

All the foreign languages that are taught in my school were able to go to DLI! It was so much fun! I really, REALLY want to learn German and Russian so much :)

As someone from there...

The temperature is on average 100+ degrees, so you guys in Wisconsin and such couldn't handle it like we couldn't handle your winters.
San Fransisco is BOMB, by the way.
Beaches? Hm...yeah, either horribly hot or damp and rainy. But nice-smelling air.
Hot chicks and guys? Sure, if you go to the right place.
LA? SMOGGY. Just like everywhere else on the south side of the state.

*sigh* Pretty much it's crappy...except for San Fransisco, of course, and don't you DARE call it "Frisco"...they get so mad *shiver* I learned that the hard way.
