I think of all the Northeners who've moved down there, specifically my father.
Y'all liked my idea, didn't you? Let's see how many states/countries are going to be posted up.

Florida: I think of swamp, and what a hole Orlando is, and how Miami was very, very unpleasantly humid the one time I was there.

Orlando isn't a hole, you should have taken a drive to the neighborhood where my dad lived. It's also very gay friendly, something you and everyone on this forum should appreciate. I don't really even know what you're talking about, a hole? And yes, Miami is near the tropic of cancer, it's going to be unpleasantly humid, what did you expect?

I think of Miami beach, the swamp, a city where you see snakes and crocs/alligators sleeping under your car and/or in your home. Humidity, Mosquitoes etc..

Orlando may be gay friendly but still boring... a lot more interesting to men than women... especially on gay day... you can not even find a lesbian in the crowed.. all the women there are straight go figure... lol

For those requiring a definition, that means I think it's not a terribly nice place to be.
Additionally, I don't find a city being gay friendly all that impressive given that I grew up and live in a really gay friendly city.
As for Miami, well... I just wasn't expecting a coastal city to be that humid. Miami gets portrayed as this great sunny beautiful beach place... but somehow no one mentioned the humidity, at least to me. I guess I'm just lucky--it rarely gets humid where I live.
I'm sure some people like the humidity, or are at least used to it. If you don't or you're not, it's pretty icky.
So my overall impression of Florida is unfavourable.
