Very heavy rain and a serious thunder storm here. The lights keep dipping, so if I suddenly disappear it may be due to lack of electricity (the laptop has batteries but the router doesn't). Duke (our cat) is hiding under the bed. :(

It's beautiful out right now. Sunny and 75F. We've only had a couple days above the average temperature this year, and we've broken many record lows. Very odd weather this year, but hey, I'm not complaining!

Well, the forecast for here overnight was "cyclonic winds and heavy rain". There has been some bad weather on the south coast and snow in the Blue Mountains (they're hills really ;)) west of Sydney, but so far it hasn't been as bad as expected.

They are saying that 9am is when the worst should be over - but it does also appear that the intense low pressure system is now slowly moving out to sea, so I think we'll miss the worst. Winds are quite strong, some rain...but that's all so far.

NO IT ISN'T!!!! :tantrum: I know all you see in movies is snow when the scene is in Canada - but it gets really hot here in the summer time too! I wouldn't want to be anywhere but here in July and August - its amazing. (!)
