I'm definately a sucker for the feminine voice in guys. I dunno, it just turns me on. I REALLY wish I had one. Maybe I just need to start practicing it or something. It would SO give me away at work though.

And actual location-wise accents... British and Australian accents are so cool!

I probably couldn't differentiate as I am not a native English speaker. Personally I have an Uruguayan accent and I hate it with a passion.

Aussie. Their accents can just make me melt. A slight Spanish accent can be really sexy, too. Also, I can't not mention that sort of British with a slight tinge of Indian accent (like Mohinder from Heroes, for anyone that watches that. Kind of tough to describe). Definitely sexy.

I don't really like accents. I'd prefer someone with a neutral or "standard midwestern" accent, to be honest.

You and I should date. :roflmao: :roflmao: :smilewave

Would you be turned on by a guy with not only a "feminine" accent, but a guy who's totally femme in his outfit?? :icon_bigg I'm not the flamboyant type, but I do prefer female-fashioned regular ware over male-fashioned.

Australian and Dutch.

Hispanic, and it's comforting and familiar. Southern, especially Texas for the same reason. Pennsylvanian 'cause...yeah, it's a turn-on for my own reasons.

It use to be Australian for me. I would melt at the sound of one, but now it is Irish accents. Ever since I saw Billy Elliot, I have a big big thing for Irish accents. Not to mention the men are hot too.

Oh and British accents. I have been watching a lot of British movies, and the are totally turning me on.

LOL! I actually think a lot of accents are sexy: Britsh, German, Pleutovian, Irish, HISPANIC, Mexican (it's slightly different than the hispanic one), what else?

Actually it's the opposite for me. Feminine voices are a turn-off to me, considering for the most part I like "straight-acting" or "masculine" guys (Not sure of the most politically correct to say that). I wouldn't consider this an accent but i think guys with slow soothing voices sounding almost if theyre singing one of those slow blusy songs, kinda like John Mayer when he sings.

I know this is an old thread, but i was just watching So You Think You Can Dance, and Hok was on and he has one of the hottest accents Ive ever heard

He's actually of Japanese heritage, but moved to London when he was young or something, then moved to America, but has kept his English accent. That accent on him is so HOT

Also, just as a side note, my English subject teacher told us that it is not correct to say British, but should only say English. Any English/British people out there have any input? What is the correct term for people from Great Brittain?

Well - "Great Britain" takes in England, Scotland Wales and Ireland...and most Scots, Welsh and Irish would probably not react too kindly to being described as having a "British" accent.

That said - there are some enormous, and very identifiable (if you are familiar with them) variations in English accents too!

I don't really like any accents, to be honest. How strange, I know... but I'd prefer someone who just spoke... well, like I do.

I don't mind accents, but I don't have a particular like or dislike. So, its like, I don't get turned on by any but won't get turned off by most ;) its not like I absolutely love one accent. I just am neutral... heh

I hate to correct, but Great Britain is just Scotland, Wales and England. Great Britain is just the name of the one isle. To include Ireland, it has to be called the British Isles. And, of course, removing the ROI leaves us with the UK. :)

Anyways, yeah. I remember one guy working at the Student's bar here at teesside. He didn't really have an accent. He just had a really nice, really sweet soft voice. :)

Definitely, Australian. Also, I feel really comfortable around New York/ New Jersey accents, because that is what I am used to.

Southern accents, because they can be used to connote elegance, class, and old world aristocracy, or it can connote rugged, can-do, individualism, characteristics that are essentially American.

I also love me some Irish men. And southern European accents (i.e. Italian or Greek) are just unavoidably sexy, although if I ever meet anyone who can speak Catalan, let alone is actually from that region, I will die.

MMmm...Aussie and Brit! And, I don't know, do Canadians actually have accents? I suppose it is the familliarity thing. Not really a fan of strong Asian or southern accents, and that nasaly teen-girl-snob voice.

yah, you sill canadians have accents. they can be cute :icon_bigg except for the french-canadian accent...like, granted, i have limited experience (it's tourist season now, and we have a lot of french-canadian on the beaches down here right now), but french-canadians are rude as hell
