.... and what sort of music or programmes do they have?
Mine - Sunshine 954 (http://www.sunshineradio.co.uk) which is a local "Gold" type station. Being small and local it's able to be individual so the presenters are personalities, and we don't have that annoyingly-slick sound of "local" stations that are part of bigger groups. A good wide selection of music, mostly from the 70s, 80s and 90s but with a few recent tracks too.

The radio doesn't play the kind of music I listen to, so I usually tune into the biggest classic rock station here, Rock 107. It plays the overplayed classic rock songs, which are the ones I like, hehe. Also, it's uncensored, which I find intriguing and rebellious, heh!

The French radio... sucks !!
The few stations I could listen to, can't be heard where I live.
We get 80s classics, the news and "Hits".
:(
I love REAL music.

I don't listen to the radio all that much, really...
I used to listen to a rock station called Y100 a looong time ago, but it got pushed off the air by some crappy rap station. Now, I just listen to whatever anyone else puts on, or nothing.

CJSW (http://www.cjsw.com/)
It's the local University station here in Calgary, and it plays some quality music. The DJs are annoying sometimes, but they're all really passionate about their shows.

That's important. I hate presenters who are not interested in the music or don't enjoy what they are doing - or are only there for their own egos. There are too many like that on UK radio.

From a playlist of about 20 songs during the day (well it was when I had to work somewhere that had it on all day for a few weeks last year). I guess evenings and weekends are better though.

There aren't any good stations here in Uruguay. The one I liked closed the other day because of fraud accusations towards its owner...
Atlantida FM, the local station, sucks beyond belief.

Since a couple of people mentioned station mottos, Sunshine Radio's is:
"Your town, your music, your radio - Sunshine Radio"
