What does the opposing page look like? Does it also contain a large title?

I would consider aligning the font to the left, rather than justifying it though. It's fashion for magazines to do it these days, as it gives a more casual and inviting look.

My only concern is the amount of ink or toner it will use if someone was to print the mag - especially if all the pages have dark backgrounds.

The opposing page is the inner side of the cover, I don't know what I'm going to put in there yet. There's a blank page on Scribus... lol. I was planning to include an advertisement for EC, as I plan to post links to the magazine's website anywhere I can, and not only here on EC.

Looks great!

I was always taught, though, (I did an IT course at my old school,) not to put too much white text on a dark background as it can be uncomfortable to read after a while, so you could have a 'Printer and Eye Friendly' version on a white background with black text for people who want to read a lot of articles and find it easier to have a light background.

But that is just a small complaint (I'm picking at straws here,) overall, it does look great!
