i've been thinking. I'm 16 and i'm only 5 inches long. There's 14 yr olds who are 6 or 7 inches long and they say that they don't have forskin. i do, so i'm wondering, does foreskin affect growth? what are your opinions on it?

No. Well, that's what I think and what I have heard many times...

What is really matter is the gene I guess...It doesn't mean if your dad or grampa had small one you'll get small one though...gene is very random.

And I think yours gonna grow more as you get older. You are only 15:icon_wink

I don't think it's the foreskin, but the genes in your family.

Hmmm - how to put this delicately...

Um - I've seen a few now, and some have been pretty big with a foreskin, and some have been pretty small without one. I'm pretty sure that isn't really a factor.

It a genetic thing. Foreskin has nothing to do with how big a penis will be. You still are growing and perhaps by the time things are done, you will have a bit more for your satisfaction. Average male penis when erect is about 5.5 - 6.5 inches. It really is variable amongst guys, as Jim says above and there is no set of rules governing it more or less.

Just remember, size in the final analysis doesn't matter. Being of good character and having a good personality are far more important.

And you have to think of your foreskin as just another piece of skin. Just like when you get fat your stomach skin grows, as does the foreskin.

That's what I'm working on! And I know WW has been doing the same! But that's exactly what I was thinking... I'm trying to get thinner, but they I'll have some excess skin to deal with for a while. Not that I'm too worried about that - the primary reason for losing the weight is to be healthier. Secondary reason is for looks.

Good question. I have to think that it will eventually tighten up. The skin replaces itself every 7 years or something, so I would think that over time it would eventually shrink back to the size it needed to be. But I could be wrong (and very disappointed 7 years from now! :eusa_doh: )

Well, as for the skin tighten thingy, ahem, have any of you seen a woman a few months after giving birth and has dieted and worked out after and goes to the beach in a bikini?.....that should tell you that it doesn't take 7 years. The one thing that could be a cosmetic problem is the appearance of stretch marks here and there on any area where the skin has tightened up. Can look like a jagged scar and at first appear bluish. These too fade, but at a much slower pace, but most often don't go away entirely and will appear as lines.

hmmm stretch marks are weird though, I have some just below my arm pits and the tops of my legs.. yet i have no recollection of suddenly loosing weight or gaining it. Any ideas Dr Jayhew?

hmmm, i've heard we have to do sit ups or crunches to tighted the skin... and there's some cream that could help with the strechmarks...i forgot what it's called...

It would have been from a growth spurt, I would say.

Yeah I doubt it would take 7 years. The only reason why people get saggy skin from losing weight is because they lose too much in too shorter time. It's a gradual thing you should do and if you do it gradually you're body will get used to the new lifestyle and won't put it back on.

i hate that the body image is thrust in our face so much, and we have to compare - what we have to compare with is what is promoted in movies and tv and ads and magazines - and that is entertainment and trying to sell products.

it is so not fair that we have this yard stick of size. youth, age, beauty, really there is only so many years that you can get peoples interest with it.

a good nature, being interested in others, some charm, a little humour - will last much longer.

gay boi - at some point of your life you will need to not worry about size. you will just reach a point of 'enough!!!' it may as well be now, rather than later.

try a bit of a variation in thinking about what is a correct or desirable penis size- try describing yours and other penises in terms of - shapely, or slender, or smooth, or desirable or good to look at, or nice to hold.

big, average or small - is just no longer acceptable as descriptive words.

dont let any womens mag articles about penis size or any gay mag bulges intimidate you. it is just talk and image, and it doesn't represent typical humanity at all.

i have seen them in all descriptions and beleive me they all do the same thing.

and if we must talk size and to put it crudely - a big dick with no personal feeling attached is like a dead fish being slapped around your face - a little one with a decent amount of love and affection attached is like an invitation to a great future.

so just relax .............
