13 entries - I'm impressed! That's more than we have had in any of our previous contests. Thanks to everyone that entered. They are all excellent and it's a shame there can only be one winner. Hopefully some of the others will feature inside the magazine somewhere.

Please don't say which ones you prefer etc while the voting is running. We don't want comments here to influence the votes. I have deleted one post above for that reason.

I have also made this thread and the announcement in Chit Chat sticky.

I'd like to remind the participants and our readers that ALL entries are going to be published on Full Spectrum 1.0 "Sirius", although only the winner will be featured on the cover.

I see that this thread is "hot" already. Thanks for voting!

You could lock the thread until after the voting is over. All that has been said that is acceptable so far is that the choices are amazing and... psh we all know this. lol

If I lock the thread it would also lock the voting.

Everyone please DO NOT comment or post here. But please DO vote! Thanks. :)

That is kinda why you read the previous posts... (especially if an admin or mod posts!)

Once the voting is over then we can comment on the ones we especially like and say how we voted. It's just a temporary silence so as not to influence those who haven't voted yet.

39 votes currently. Hopefully we'll get plenty more before the voting ends.

I have just deleted yet another comment about a specific entry. :bang: :bang: :bang:

It's clearly stated in the first post and also mentioned in several other posts that this should not be done. Don't people bother to read threads before replying now?

Only a few more hours to go. Vote NOW if you haven't already!

From what I see now, the winner is kinda obvious, but you don't know what can happen in a couple of hours.

A little over five hours left now... so, if you haven't voted, then do it now!

I'd like to thank Paul for "cleaning" the thread from people's opinions. Not that they're bad, though... I'd like to say thanks to Jerr for promoting the competition on his signature.

The Full Spectrum team is happy to announce that we have a winner for the Cover Competition.

The winner is Entry 1, submitted by EC member TeeBe. Congratulations!

Work on the cover has already been started.

I think the composition of entry 1 led itself to being a magazine cover very well. There is space for the title and some other text about the content without losing the impact of the image. The subject of the photo also reflects what EC is all about.

I think this is part of the reason for the run-away success of that entry. There were a lot of excellent entries but people could visualise that one in particular as the cover of a magazine.

Congratulations to TeeBe, who has now been awarded with the "EC Competition Winner" title below her username and an increased PM storage quota.

Commiserations to all the other entrants. There were many excellent entries and I hope space can be found for at least some of them inside the magazine. Thank you all for taking part with what is by far the most successful competition we have run on EC.
