A couple of nights ago, I was feeling really down, so I decided to talk to one of my friends from theatre. We talked about a couple of issues, and then I decided that ("what the hell?") I was going to come out to him. At first, I tried to think of ways to put it lightly until finally saying outright that I was gay. He said he already knew due to his amazing gaydar, and he also told me that he was bi. We ended up talking for quite some time after that about crushes, "the list," etc. Woohoo! I did it!

Congrats - I'm just about to go out and hopefully come out to my best female friend. I'm just trying not to back out of it. I must not back out. I need her to know. But what if she reacts badly?
Anyway - thats just the argument in my mind at the moment - congratulations again, and I hope I have a decent story for later today.

Congratulations Chrisg,
It really is a great feeling to be out. One week has gone by and I'm still feeling totally elated, had my first date with a nice guy from Taiwan. My girlfriend is so proud that I trusted her enough to tell her.
Hi Will,
last Tuesday I was shaking in my boots, rubber-legged but also very excited about the big moment. You have to trust your judgement on the other person.
She won"t react badly if she's really a good friend. Worst case is that she'll need some time to digest the info if she never suspected.
I hope it goes well for you. Charge in with confidence if it's what you really want to do.
