We need some advice

I'm a huge fan of my local GLBT magazine (http://colorezarizona.com/), so I was looking there for some ideas. One of the things I've always liked about them is their concentration on current happenings (legislature, what the community is doing to fight AIDS, etc.) Unfortunately, since this paper isn't local, it's harder to concentrate on certain little things. However, I sort of like the idea of people wrote about those types of things their area is doing to raise awareness.

Hmm...well, you could do articles on advances in gay rights through history, or in different parts of the world. You could literally writes books and books on that.

Profile influential gays. You could do this from a historical angle, or perhaps more modern ones.

Profile some bizarre stories from the corners of the internet? There's definitely no shortage of these.

Hmm, that's a few ideas, I guess. Dunno how helpful that actually is.

Those were all great ideas, but this one is the best by far. I wish I had the time to do the research, but alas ; ; I can't do it. Plus, I already have my hands full with another writing project for this magazine. A "how far have we come" perspective on gay rights would be awesome ^^ like, detailing some of the first big advances, progressing to more recent ones. Any takers? ^^

How soon do you want to issue it? Is there a deadline that you want it issued by or do you just want it out as soon as possible?

Our tentative release date is January 1st but if we don't receive some content soon we won't be able to release. The current deadline is December 25th.

I'd kinda recommend some sort of 'Agony Aunt/Uncle' situation, perhaps.
