Those are great but...
You have to be out, and servicing the GLBT Community.
If I was I would gladly apply for them.
They cover a lot of money for college.

I thought about applying for one of these scholarships, but I couldn't bring myself to tell my parents in order to meet the requirements

You are only 15 and a junior? Did you skip some school?

That's awesome! I actually was researching scholarships about an hour ago...this may be an excuse for me to force myself into telling my parents.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem as Ezjaxter.... I'm a Junior and I couldn't come out completely to parents AND do too much to support the GLBT community in that time. I mean, between a scholarship and parental support, I have a feeling parental support will pay off a little more.

What can one do to "demonstrate an interest in service to the GLBT community"?

Do you have a GSA at your school? Are you involved in leadership in that? How about organizing something at school to combat homophobia or just create an environment that is more friendly to GLBT people?
