Another "How do you know he's gay?"

Well. Theres this guy at my school that I am rather attracted too. It's just a bit hard to determine if he's actually gay or not. At current time, I think he's just really nice...But it's hard to tell.

Hints that he is: 1. He's very polite to me. Maybe overly sweet. Can't tell if he's flirting, or being nice. He's always asking if I need help, smiling, ext...
2. He's often defends me when someone else is annoying or pestering me. :D
3. He...Wears tight shirts and sandals? Does that count at all? XD
4. It may just be me, but we have those mutual "stares" sometimes. Haha. Once again, it could just be me.

Hints that he's not :( : 1. If he is gay, he hasn't come out to anyone yet.
2. He...Has no "gay" mannerisms. No feminine voice, no fashion sense (lol), no hand gestures. Nothing. D:
3. He hangs out with a lot of straight guys. Boo hoo.
4. Most people don't think so....

There was this gay guy at school...who was younger then me. And I use to be really nice to him. And I use to defend him when he came out and other people were inappropriately poking fun at this guy. And I use to compliment his art all the time. Really I acted like a big brother. But I'm not gay....

Also most gays don't follow under the stereotype...so fashion doesn't mean squat. I basically dress like a 'Prep' and sometimes a little emo (minus the hair...I just like the emo zip up sweaters). And even if he isn't out it still doesn't mean that he might not be gay.

If your out to him, maybe have a talk with him about what's going in your life. Bring homosexuality up as a topic? If your not out to him, and are scared to go out to him than why not just play around a little harsher and see where it takes you.

Haha, wow that sounds rather similar. Well I myself find it extremely hard to talk to him. I'm easily flustered and I tend to run away when someone I like is in close contact. Thanks for your advice though! I am trying my best to talk to him a bit more each day. :]

Theres really nothing to tell you except that situations like this, especially in high school when so many people are closeted, usually end up in you getting hurt.

My best guy friend that I have a huge crush on (liking him made me finally admit to myself that I'm bi) finally came out to me as bi. I was so ridiculously happy, but he's not interested in me.

So...yeah. Just try not to get hurt.
