I have an addiction to internet porn.
I start off doing an essay/homework/etc. then somehow end up spending 2-3 hours on internet pornsites. I guess what makes it an "addiction" is that it's interfering with my life. Assignments are passed in late or not at all, i dont interact with my family during the night, i even miss family dinners. All because i'm in on the computer, doing my thing.

Anon. User #666 (can we choose our own number? I call dibs on 666)
My primary addiction is food. Even after I feel full, I can look at something on my plate and convince myself that I should just eat it because it will taste so good. I know I don't need it. I'm already full. But the pleasure I get from eating is like a weak drug I suppose. It makes me happy. I've been so unhappy lately with it that I dropped fifty bucks on some stupid workout videos I found online that "seem" to have good results. Of course, those results are unusual though, I would imagine. We'll see how it goes. Right now, I'm fighting against snacking the most. If I don't keep myself active and moving at all times, I feel like curling up on the couch with some ice cream or chips. I've taken to buying sliced fruit trays so at least my snacking is healthier, but I still know I'm taking in too many calories per day. I'd say it's probably around 3000 (it should be 2000 to 2500).

I'm addicted to sex and lust. The internet is a curse for this - because I too could spend HOURS and HOURS surfing internet porn. It's like there's no end to it.
The thing with all addictions is that they are really just a symptom of other underlying problems or issues. All forms of 'acting out' on your addiction are like taking a 'drug' or 'medicating' yourself to deal with painful emotions or thoughts.
Like many 'drugs', we start to build a tolerance to them. So taking the same dose has less effect on us over time. Therefore, to achieve the same 'high' we need to take a larger dose. The addiction escalates. So internet porn addiction evolves into include chat rooms, cyber sex, phone sex, and finally meeting people for anonymous sex. (And no - I'm not refering to our new best friend with the bag over their head 'Anonymous'!)
So whatever your 'drug' it's important to get it in check as soon as possible - becuase it will get worse.
But what is even more important is recognizing that you have a problem - because that's the amazing thing about most addictions. The addict often is in denial that they even have a problem. I know I was - for a LONG time! So congratulations for acknowledging your problem here.
Don't despair - we're all in this together. And while this is a start, and may be a help to some of you, there is more tangible and local help available. Many therapists specialize in addiction recovery. There are also '12 step groups' out there that deal with all kinds of addiction (Sex, Sex and Love, Alcohol, Narcotics, Gambling, Debt, etc.) and they are free to attend.
Good luck!

I dunno if this would be an addiction or not, I would imagine not, but anywho I tend to relish in other people's pain. As in I am pretty much emtionally void and it makes me happy when other people are sad/hurt.:tears:

Just thought I'd point out that that's a very valid addiction, and probably one of the most common. I get the feeling that since you put addiction in quotes, you don't actually consider it an "addiction," but it very much is. It's even got it's own Wikipedia article! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornography_addiction Anything that has its own Wikipedia article must be real.

I wouldn't say I'm 'addicted' to masturbating, as most likely the majority of boys my age share the same interest, but I do it a lot. My day is incomplete without it. Even if I'm horribly exhausted after a long day, I feel it's a requirement to masturbate before going to sleep. Lately it's been on my mind during the day a lot as well.

I used to cut and I stopped for 2 years but now I'm doing it again and I've gotten really good at hiding it. It kind of scares me that I started doing it again and I'm scared I won't be able to stop this time.

If you're uncomfortable about it, and wonder if it's a problem, try stopping. It won't kill you to stop, and it might indicate that you DO have a problem if you can't. Sex addiction is a real problem, and can start at a very early age. Taking something that is normal and natural (like masturbating) and using it for unatural purposes (avoiding or dealing with stress, self 'medicating') indicates that it is a problem.
Check out this site, and decide for yourself. If you have a problem, work on it now. Don't wait.
