I'm trying to think of a guy pop singer who has a good voice. Actually you know, as much as I hate him, Timberflake's voice is pretty good. I just don't like what he does with it.

Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys--he was a raised as a gospel singer, so that's no surprise.

Okay, well first... it's hard to isolate what you sound like when the vocals of the music are so loud.

Second, you sound kinda flat to me... musically flat, not "I am dead inside" flat (i.e. not without energy, more off-tone).

It would be WAAAAAY easier to tell if (a) you had a decent mic and (b) you had karaoke-style music (i.e. no vocal track, or just backup vocals).

And... since you wanted honesty--you sounds like you could use some more breath support... some of your notes die out before they should, from the sound of it.

All that aside, you're fucking brave to ask for commentary. I don't think I could do that and supposedly my voice is decent.

^^ Agree. It's tough to hear you clearly from the other music, but I don't think you were hitting some of the notes. Wasn't horrible by any stretch, but it wasn't amazing either. Sorry.

Honesty is called for and requested so:

You have a flat voice and have a heck of a time carrying a tune. That could be overcome with proper training. You are also tentative meaning you are singing but are not very sure of it either.

Some people are tone deaf, meaning musical pitch is something they don't understand or work to achieve, you need to achieve it if you are to continue with singing. I would suggest you join a choir or singing group that works with people to improve their singing voice.

Otherwise, enjoy what you are doing but don't expect to be working in the music industry as a singer. (*hug*)

I agree with all of this. Without a bit of training I wouldn't hope to carry your solo singing career past the shower curtain. I applaud your bravery though. (*hug*)
