Well, I really don't like my hair. I find it horrible and thick and yucky. Its fairly short, but long in my standereds so like 2inches long? no maybe 3 or 4.
Anyways, I always have it at the same style because.. if i tried something different.. im afraid other people will just like make a big deal out of it and get negative comments and stuff. I think i must have quite low self esteem for this. My mum always jokes about things like that and when i did try something different she said something and i felt quite uncomfortable (she didn't mean to make me to, but i still felt uncomfortable) so i just changed it to normal. Urgh i hate this...

just try something you feel confortable with... that's what really matters.. and i'm sure after you feel confortable with it. Your self steem will get stronger

People with really thick hair often look better with shorter hair. Try going to a good stylist and getting suggestions for a new haircut. It's hard making a change sometimes but it helps your self-esteem significantly when you feel like you look better.

also try layers, or some look that'll make it less thick. go to a really nice salon.

I know exactly what you mean. I used to absolutely hate my hair, and it made me very self-conscious. I went to a hair stylist and he recommended that he razor cut it and straighten it. We tried it and that's how I've had it for about a month now. I love it. I feel so much better about myself. So that's my suggestion for you. Ask a professional. They'll know what will look best.

Have you told her this? Maybe she wouldn't make these comments if she knew what they meant to you.

I feel the same as well, I really want to change it but I'm always too scared of what people will think. That's my biggest prblem - other people - I need to just forget about other people. As long as I'm comfortable in my own skin, who gives a flying llama what others think..:icon_wink
I think I've just motivated myself.. :icon_bigg lol

Everybody is too worried about what other people are thinking of them to pay that much attention anyway...

Usually, even if it's a big change for you to change hair bit, people won't notice if they are not paying attention. Well, of course, if you had black hair for all your life and suddenly you had blond very next day, I'm pretty sure everyone notice that though:grin:
