so, i was thinking the other day of something that i did in middle school...

there was a "friend" (not friend at all...kinda friend of friend) who was cheating on math tests by inserting a cheat note card into the back of the calculator cover...and other various stuff...sooo...one day i took her calculator and i took out the cheat card and put in an anonymous note that said i knew she was cheating and she better watch out that i don't tell...

now, maybe that isn't that bad, but she freaked out and was lik "o no! who could know?!" and well...i kinda kept putting in notes...for like 2 months or something...and then i got two other friends to lik put it in during the middle of gym clas...and all these random times...and basically she freaked out for two months....

is that mean?

I think that was a little uncalled for and you definately went overboard by getting other people involved in the act and carrying it out for 2 months. You could have really upset her! LOL Why did you do it? Just for fun or to get revenge on her or what?

It's really her business rather she wants to cheat or not. Cheating might not be the best thing to do, but I'm sure you've cheated on something academic too. Remember, there's a difference between being an honest classmate and a snitch.:icon_wink

I definitely think it's passive-aggressive. If her cheating bothered you, it would probably have been better to confront her to her face about it.

As for the "everyone cheats" line of thought, I don't buy that, but I'm sure that it's not uncommon for many to have cheated at some point when they're younger. But there is a difference between a few rare occurrences and recurrent cheating. There's also the difference between people who feel no guilt or remorse and those who realise they've made a mistake in cheating.

i was just wondering...b/c IIIIII think it was funny...b/c she cheats on anything she can get away with...so, every time she put in a new cheat sheet, i put in a new note...

Yeah I do stuff like that all the time. I think you have an excuse for doing it once, but if she had stopped there's no good reason to continue, even if she is mean.

i've only evr snitched on one person...and this was lik a month ago. my grade's valedictorian (top person in the grade) cheats on a ton of stuff and it's not fair to the other people in the top ten who work really hard to get there. she shouldn't get top spot (lot of prestige) if she cheats all the time. and brags about it. so a couple of my friends and i told one of the teachers that she cheated...but she was nevr caught. :(
