I'm a movie fanatic so I found it might be cool to perhaps let everyone know what movie you last watched and whether you recommend it or not.
I'll begin
No Country for Old Men (2007)
- 4 out of 5 stars for me. Magnificient storyline and great acting overall. The cinematography is beautiful (Roger Deakins who also did Shawshank Redemption). It was an amazing film and I think everyone should go see it, considering it's an Oscar Frontrunner at the moment.

I Am Legend (2007)
I rather liked it. Although the scientific miracle cure = unoriginal.
Been done so many times it gets a bit repetitive, i mean, we get it. Be cautious of the authority of science.
3.5 out of 5 overall.
The .5 because i like Will Smith's performance and 3 for the plot.

My newest movie...
National Treasure 2
Lame...2 out of 5 for me. Although it had a somewhat interesting story line, all other fields such as acting, dialogue, indvidualism and cinematography failed. And as a kid flick it offers little of what regular movie viewers would call action. The logic of some of the clues also leave you thinking, "What? How come no one else noticed that?" Also how you can have a gun fight in the streets of London with out alerting the authorties...is beyond me. Maybe the Brits are just that nice. And how does it rank up to the first national trasure? Well..kinda the exact same thing...Xept this time it's set up for a sequel. Yea!
Edit: And one last thing, I am Legend...is anyone else upset about using cheap looking CGI over actual costume and makeup. *Sigh* what ever makes the director more money.

I just saw Juno, which was super funny and sweet and cute and I loved it. It was so refreshing to see a comedy that didn't rely on vulgarity or over-the-top characters for it's humor, but was instead cleverly written and had realistic characters with realistic relationships. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5, just because they had a lot of "teen slang," which was different and fun, but I wasn't quite sure what they were doing with it, since I've never heard anyone talk that way. However, I think this film did for the 2000s what Clueless did for the 1990s: it perfectly exemplified youth culture of the decade.

As for home movie: A Walk To Remember (it still makes me cry)
I hate how Nicholas Sparks (the author of the only romance books I read) always seems to just kill off the loved ones.

I just saw Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It was pretty good. The plot twisted, but in the way you expected it to twist; and it had the repetitiveness of the bad guy only being bad to save someone he loves, gets screwed over because a "good guy" was bad, then sees someone else's love get mortally wounded and sacrifices himself. It sounds like a lot more than it is. Most of the effects were good, though a couple weren't and the acting was pretty good. Overall, a 6/5. 3 for the movie itself and 3 for Chris Evans (he had a shirtless scene- soo hott).

At the theatre/cinema: Shrek 3 this summer (yeah, i don't really go, that often...)
At home: High School Musical (my mom had rented it, and i hadn't seen it, yet) I thought it was really corny, but not as terrible as some people made it out to be. Although, it was a tad annoying to see the spots where the commercial breaks originally were (there were no commercials, just the fade outs/ins).

In regards to the film Juno, I am jealous of all those who have seen it. The critics haved raved on and on about the movie and it definitely looks promising to me as a film.
One question to those who seen it however. Critics have declared the movie "This year's Little Miss Sunshine." I for one did not really like Little Miss Sunshine very much so if you saw both Juno and LMS, what did you make of it and how did it compare?

1 out of 5 for this one IMO. The acting was horrible, the characters were seriously underdeveloped, the plot was lame, and ugh... there goes 2 hours of my life. I went with my cousin and he said the same thing... I think the first was WAY better, but that's just me.

Just the last one I saw? Can't do that... I see too many.
Last night I saw The Great Debaters, which was excellent. Great acting, great writing, great moments. I'm not a super-big fan of Forest Whitaker but I still liked him in the movie. 8 out of 10.
The night before, a free (thank the gods) preview of One Missed Call. Even though my friend and I KNEW it was going to be bad, nothing could prepare you for how badly it reeked. Why Margaret Cho was in it, I'll NEVER understand. My friend thinks she lost a bet. I think she needed the money. *grin* I think the only part I liked was that stupid line from the trailer: "That's not my ringtone!" 1 out of 10.
And surprisingly, Juno is as good as everyone is saying it is. Maybe better. I never saw Little Miss Sunshine but from what I can tell from what I read about, I'm betting you can enjoy Juno even if you didn't like LMS. 10 out of 10.

I LOVE 28 days later...I thought it was some hope for the horror Genre.
Guess not *Cough* House of Wax *cough*
and 28 Weeks was like 10% worse...but I still enjoyed it...It had it's moments. But also it's large amounts of cheeeese.
...And 28 weeks also has one of the coolest movie posters ever. Maintain the quarritine? Who doesn't want that for their bedroom. I have the poster...xept mom won't let me POST it if it's not framed.
Stupid mom...Makes me feel like the kids from the Breakfast Club.
Just a comment though,
O_O How can a movie like AvP: R and NT: 2, Resident Evil be enjoyable....I don't want to sound like a snotty film critic...but those movies SUCK. There's alot of great cinema out there like Across the Universe, No Country For Old Men, The Darjing Limited (or however the title is) that you really shouldn't be wasting your movie experience on movies like that? I'm sorry, I don't mean to insult, but it makes me really sad to hear when movies like Resident Evil make much more money then the films who actually deserve every penny they make.
Support the indie film or at least film that have some sort of plot. Woooo!!!!

Support the indie film or at least film that have some sort of plot. Woooo!!!!Dude! (Can I call you "dude?" Well I'm gonna anyway...) Anyway, I am the first person to go see a cool looking indie movie, and go to local film festivals, but that doesn't mean I don't sometimes enjoy some of the big blockbusters or seeing stupid films like One Missed Call. Which was INCREDIBLY stupid, but I digress.
The fact of the matter is that stupid useless movies are always going to be more popular overall than funny smart touching ones. That's because the bulk of humanity is stupid and useless and wouldn't know quality if it did them up the ass.
And then there's people's different tastes, like I'm pretty sure I would HATE The Darjeeling Limited because I know the kind of films that director makes and they're really not my cup of tea, plus I have no real interest in No Country For Old Men. Whereas I think Titanic is one of the best movies ever made but I know there are many, many people who can't stand it.
I've seen a lot of indie movies I've thought were dreck (like Napoleon Dynamite... how people enjoyed that, I have NO clue) and many blockbusters I've thought were really great (Titanic, X2). And vice versa. Plus I've seen an insane amount of straight-to-DVD films that are laughably bad but I still keep watching them because occasionally you find one that is really, really good. Like last night I saw Boy Culture which was really cool.

Funnily enough that's the last movie I saw too...I really like it, and thought the same thing about the Jennifer Garner/Jason Bateman switch of liking, if that makes sense. But personally, I was able to sympathise with all the characters, like I could see how much Vanessa wanted a baby, and that Jason Bateman's character was going through like a mid-life crisis or something...but then again I'm always gunna sympathise with Jason Bateman, cos he was Michael on Arrested Development, therefore is pure awesomeness!...God I like Arrested Development

Sunshine was the last movie I've seen, I'm a movie buff and I'll watch pretty much anything, Sunshine was alright it was a little confusing at the end but overall not to bad, it was an aliens/2001 sort of movie without the aliens. The remake of Halloween from Rob Zombie was alright too, different from the original a little faster paced and focused more on Micheal Myers youth, which the origianal didn't. And if you like Horror, if you know who Rob Zombie is you'll like his movies, really gorey and disturbing.
I'd like to see Juna or is it Junno anyway it looks funny and if you would like to see a good gay themed movie watch The Bubble it's really well done I thought.
Actually that very last movie I watched was last night it was called Whisper not bad, kind of an Omen kind of thing, it has the guy from lost Soyer(not sure how you spell it) in it shirtless hot bad guy.

Mysterious Skin --> Really creepy movie starring Joseph Gordon Levitt (i think that's his name, michelle trachtenberg, elisabeth shue)
It's a story of two kids. One trying to discover the truth behind his abduction by aliens and the other (levitt) living his life after getting molested by his baseball coach.
Really interesting and Levitt is such a talented young actor

I know who killed me.....weird.Oh my gosh... I think that was the most appallingly horrible movie I watched last year... and potentially ever.

Gods and Generals, for schoolwork. Jesus H. Christ, that belongs more on a stage than on screen.
TDK was the last movie I watched in theaters, and will probably stay that way until Watchmen.

Wall-E. Twice. I went back to take my Mom. :)
On TV, it was Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Really old school, no special effects to speak of, but still creepy as all hell. And, in a strange way, all the movies made in the 30 or so years since that one came out have made the ending of IotBS even more creepy.

The Dark Knight
I loved this movie. I think Heath Ledger did an amazing job of playing the Joker. I was a little put off on how Christian Bale's voice changes when he is Batman rather than Bruce Wayne. It seemed a little cheesy to me, but other than that it was a fantastic movie. I've seen it twice so far. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

The Dark Knight, easily the best movie i have seen for years. And not just because he is dead, but Heath Ledger (spelling?) really played so amazing.

The Dark Knight
I watched it twice.
I think it's better the second time, because when I watch movies in theatres for the first time, I'm usually trying to figure out how long I've been there and how much longer the movie is, even if it's the best movie I've seen in years.
