Hi-

Ok, I am truly convinced that my dad has an anger management problem. He cant channel his anger in to something positive (like a hobby), and he cant just go in to an empty car and shut the door and shout. He is very angry and he shouts at everyone in my family. He will get angry about something that is completely unrelated to me and take it out on me (verbally, never physically). He had the worst out burst today when his computer screen broke and was screaming at the top of his lungs and throwing stuff around his office (it in my house)and he punched a hole in the wall (all over a computer screen).

I have been telling my mom for years that we need to get him help and she just laughs at me. I dont understand where this comes from, he lives a pretty stress free life (he is retired, and plays golf and tennis all day), but it needs to be solved. I have reached my limit and I dont know what to do. Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks,
Frustrated

I don't think this is a situation that I would consider confronting the person alone, because they have an anger management problem. Perhaps there is a website that can give you information about specialists near you. Sorry if I'm not much help. I mainly just want you to know that I'm sorry you're so frustrated. (*hug*)
