After considerable talkings with others (and generally ruining threads by doing so) I have found out that a number of us love and can quote the Emmy award winning show! So please! Congregate here for talkings about our four favourite brats!
To start us all off, which episode does this quote come from?
"So you got people to crap outta their mouth! What do you want? A freakin' medal!"
Bonus points for anyone who can say who said it and which season it's from. :D

I've seen all seasons 1-11 :p
Me too.
Curious question. Do you prefer the earlier seasons with more scatological humour? Or the later seasons with more satire to modern life?
I personally adore both, because you can see it develop as it goes along. The earlier seasons have their charm, and the later seasons just blow you away.
My favourite seasons are still (and probably always will be) seasons 4, 5 and 6. Genius :D

Die hard fan trivia!
Okay, in the above post I was singing the song "Lemmiwinks" from the Death Camp of Tolerance. Stone and Parker wanted to carry on with the idea of a gerbil king and all the royal animals and had a whole episode planned but scrapped it because they had no ending or surefire way they wanted it to go and it was too near the deadline. The question is:
What did this scrapped idea surface as? And with what quickly done episode did they replace their original idea with?

Umm, all I know was that the gerbil king came back in "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" when Paris Hilton and Mr. Slave had a "whore-off". Mr slave sat on Paris hilton and when Paris was in his colon she was greeted by the gerbil king. lol. I doubt that's right though

Okay, this episode centres around Cartman getting HIV from a botched Tonsillectamy. It focuses on the seriousness of the disease, whilst also being hysterically funny.

After Dr. Mephesto accidentally unleashes a plague on South Park that turns people into zombie vampires, Kenny (ironicly) is the last person uninfected and tries to cope with being the last man on Earth.
Haha, an "I am Legend" parody. Starts to make me wish I'd gone to see the film now. Still, it should be awesome. It's been a while since they've done a Kenny-centric episode.

If you haven't, don't read this and it is online here: http://www.southparkzone.com/episodes/1202/Britneys-New-Look.html
Personally, I didn't like it that much. Last week's was very good. This one was a "meh". I had a few laughs, mostly at Kyle running around with a wig and hat on, and the constant remarks that Britney is "fat" or "totally lip-synching". But the best parts are definitely Butters being labelled as "a psychotic squirrel who thinks he's a human" and the ending where Stan and Kyle join in the chanting with PRICELESS looks on their faces.
However it was disappointing for a few reasons:
1. Serious lack of Cartman, he definitely would have made this episode better.
2. Lack of Kenny - He's spent half the seasons saying "he wants to stick his dick up Britney's butt", now was the best chance, where was he? I know I and many others would have found that hilarious.
3. Come on guys! How many things could you have done that you missed out? The preggers sister, the husband, Chris Crocker, there were so many things you could have touched on that you completely ignored.
5.5/10 - A few laughs, overall I'm not rushing to watch it again, unlike last weeks. You'd better do "I am Kenny" now to make up for this.

SOUTH PARK PAYS HOMAGE TO THE 1981 FILM, "HEAVY METAL"
IN AN ALL-NEW "SOUTH PARK" ON
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL
NEW YORK, March 24, 2008 -- The boys are worried when Kenny starts experimenting with the newest way to get high in an all-new episode of "South Park," entitled, "Major Boobage," premiering on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on COMEDY CENTRAL.
Kenny is skipping school and the other boys are sure it's because he's hooked on the latest drug craze that's popular with the junior high and under crowd. Meanwhile, Kyle's parents become concerned that their son is getting high when they find contraband in his room. To illustrate just how high you can go, "South Park" pays homage to the 1981 movie, "Heavy Metal."

Genius :D
I love all of it, but the middle seasons are the best (for me) because that's where all the political and social humor is. My social libertarian side is cheering the whole time, but some of the themes make my knee-jerk-liberal-bordering-on-socialist side protest.

Okay, I saw it like 10 hours ago, but due to a lack of computer, I was unable to give my reveiw.
But OH MY GOD, it was funny.
Seriously, I looked up some Heavy Metal clips on Youtube before hand, and comparing the movie to a drug trip was pure genius. Trust Kenny's tripping to be filled with constant boobs. :D
I was hoping South Park would choose a "stupid" drug for the kids to be hooked on, rather than the "serious" or "cliche" drugs we hear about everyday. The idea of tripping out on concentrated cat piss just fits so well into the weird world of South Park, and gives humour that stuff like coke or heroin just wouldn't.
One thing I loved was the complete irony of Cartman hoarding cats in his attic. I watched it with my sister and I was laughing the whole time. She asked "What's so funny?" and I basically said exactly what Kyle said "don't you see any parallel with any event in history?". However, what did annoy me was that they didn't show Cartman's anti-semitism. Mainly because it would have made the irony so much more noticable and funny, but because people who didn't know about the rivalry between them just wouldn't get it. Even so, it was still funny.
And I have to mention this, just because it was the best part of the whole episode, but the "fight to the death" between Gerald and Kenny was hilarity defined. I don't know why, but boob-related weapons and brawling in the sandpit just made me literally roll on the floor laughing my ass off.
Overall, a great episode, I am definitely going to watch it again, and it made up for the travesty that was Britney's New Look. 8/10

^ OH. MY. GOD. :D:D:D:D
Ok, "Eek, a penis!" reveiw. Sorry for the lateness.
First of all, the Thomas Beattie reference at the beginning was just hilarious. "This woman became a man, then she got pregnant so she's not really a man." I love Garrison :D He/she always has a tendency to blow things out of proportion and the "It's okay for you, Mackey, you have a penis!" :D
Plus the idea of a penis running around South Park is another of the crazy things that could only happen there. "A penis! Where! Eeek!" :roflmao:
And Cartman as Eric Cartmanez, I could totally imagine him doing that. The whole accent and the running joke of "How do I reech theese keeds?" :D Trust them to only get anywhere by cheating.
One thing I don't like is the fact that Garrison seems to have reverted back to a straight homophobic male. He was funniest when he was the "demented raving queer" (see "Death camp of Tolerance", Season 6) And I don't see how they are going to make him funny as the straight guy again. Admittedly he was in denial before Season 4 but it was funny because everyone knew he was in denial. I just don't see how they can carry this on.
Overall 6.5 out of 10. Funny, yes. But I am just not convinced that Garrison can be as funny as he was before.

Lol he's still gay though. He's just a man.

waitingsucks
13th Apr 2008, 04:57 AM
^^^^ Technically all south park eps are offensive to someone. I used to think that it was really really offensive but then I realised otherwise.
This review of south park sums it up pretty well (This review is actually from a christian fundamentalist site, but this is probably the only good review from the website)
This review comes from here: http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/tv/tv-comments-sz.html(warning the website itself is very homophobic)
If people would open their eyes and ears they would see that South Park is a social satire of America. It seems to lack morals, but in fact it mocks those without morals. South Park teaches morality... The show tries to make you feel uncomfortable, so you will challenge your perspectives and maybe, just maybe get a little enlightenment.
But anyway the last ep was so funny Mr Cartmenez "How do I reach dese kidzz?" lol

Lol he's still gay though. He's just a man.
Isn't this episode kinda offensive to trans gendered people though?
But yeah what I said was kinda vague.
I think that the ep wasn't making fun of transgendered people, more people who abuse sex change operations for their own personal gain, not because they're transgendered. Like in this ep it showed how Mr Garrison completely regretted the operation because he got it for the wrong reasons and without thinking about it properly. Also Mr Garrison saying things like "You're not a woman unless you can have babies" Is just showing how ignorant some people are when they think that transgendered people aren't male or vice versa.
South Park looks like a horribly rude and offensive show at first but there is meaning behind most of what they say... most. lol

South Park kind of defines irony. By putting people with stupid opinions in the show, you laugh at them and ridicule them, and maybe even rethink your own opinion. It really makes you think.
And my mom STILL says it's just a load of fart jokes. Silly woman.

First of all, I was just laughing at the whole town going crazy over the internet; it was heavily ironic to me, as only last week I got grounded until now and wasn't allowed on the internet at home, and the internet at school blocks plenty of sites that I veiw. ;) So yes, that for me was just heavily coincidental and made it even more funny.
Okay, actual episode. Usually I don't like episodes that don't have Cartman as a mainish character in the plot, but Randy was brilliant. The whole porn thing was just stupendously hilarious (Brazilian fart fetish :roflmao:) and them walking in on him.... "It was a ghost! Ectoplasm!" :D
Although one thing that just made me go off into a fit of laughter was Kyle just walking up to "the internet" and just unplugging it and plugging it back in. I don't know why I found it so funny, but that is the thing I do for everything when it doesn't work while my family read the manuals and try and push buttons and do fancy stuff etc which is what the other people try and do to get it working. Again it was just something I could relate to me and just found funny.
But Randy in the Steven Seagal getup :roflmao: it was like the Spitzer reference in Major Boobage. :D I just love it. Not much more to say on that.
Personally, an 8/10. Mostly due to my own internet coincidence which just made the whole thing so much funnier for me. :D

The whole episode was pretty decent, a little predictable though.
BUT!!! Randy's speech at the end! I thought the speech was easily the best part of the episode.
When he yelled, and slammed his fist, and the camera zoomed out a little, WOW!!! When he was speaking so emotionally, and people in the crowd were all nodding, even though he was talking about internet porn =-O. LOL!
I must have replayed that fist pound part 10 times.
I'd agree with pyrate ninja, 8/10, only because the rest of the episode wasnt super awesome, but the speech at the end gave it major kudos.
OH! and I forgot to mention!! The internet dating! LMFAO! at some points it got repetitive, but when they met! LMAO!

For one this is relevant because if you guys have been paying attension to time and other smarty magazines the interent actually is "Over logged" right now and there just isn't enough space for all the spam and shit that covers the internet. Specially the the introduction of high def video they are considering having to shut down the internet for a while in a couple more years if these patterns continue.
And did anyone like the "Simulator" by far the best part. ...Well and the sound effects when Randy gets the internet porn back.
What movie are they suppose to be making fun of. All I got was the Close Encounters reference.
Should of done it like, "The day the earth stood still." >_>
It could work...
