We probably all have different opinions on that. We may think we have lost our virginity more than once if we consider different forms of sexual contact. I do - by hand when I was 10, oral when I was about 11 and penetrative with my current partner.

I've had plenty of boyfriends, a lot of whom really wanted to have sex: so I can safely say it's a choice. Mind you, I'm sexually active (after all, I'm only human), however, I view my virginity (penetrating/pentrated) in a high regard. It's my innocence (atleast thats what I tell the police ;)). Personally, I believe that you lose your virginity when you engage in oral sex or anal sex. Your experience probably went for a really short time and you didn't cum. When you do eventually lose your virginity for real, you'll see how your experience is different to that first "real" moment. Don't worry :)

LOL I was gonna make a post on the advice forum about the same thing, but maybe this thread can help.

I'm 17 years old, still a virgin and feel really bad about that... I only recently got that I need to be with a guy and not girls. I'm usually not into online flings (or so I think) but I also don't want to be a virgin at 18 and that seems very likely now.

The only way I see is hooking up with someone over the internet (which would also require a picture... like coming out which I'm not ready for now) BUT I just know will analyze the hell out of it if I don't get a call back and that's likely for an online hookup. Why would I analyze that? Because I have no close friends and don't know gay people so I'll be back to loneliness after the sex.. until the next fling.

Advice?

Don't worry about being a virgin at 18. That just means that, when you do meet the right person, you can give them the greatest gift of all: your virginity.

I'll be away when I'm 18 though. And it's not just about the technical age thing, I need something to happen this summer. I dont feel I've done anything good with being gay so far, it only got me depressed. I also can't come out until I feel anything good with being gay, I can't start a new school year feeling so empty and inexperienced.. the last few months of the last school year were just bad and I missed a lot of finals.
