So just last month i started going to a gay support group. When i first got there i met someone that i was attracted to but i never had the courage to talk to him directly. Over the past few weeks he didn't show up because of schooling but i did meet another gay person who i became friends with but not in a sexual way. But this week he showed up and after the meeting he actually talked to me and started asking some questions about me and he even ended up giving me his number. The thing is while i have his number he has no way to contact me so if i am going to talk to him i have to start the conversation. Because he is 18 and i am 17 i am really nervous (plus i have never been in any kind of relationship so i don't really get flirting so i don't know if he was). The other friend that i made there asurred me that he was and is now determined to get me and him together. I wish i knew how to let him know how i feel but i don't want to come off as weird or creepy. Also right now i am still hiding in the closet and i know that i could never keep a relationship secret. I am sorry for rambling like i did but i am just frustrated and i wish i knew what to do. :bang: :tantrum: :help:

If he gave you his number, then he wants to talk to you. just be cool and call him, even if you are in the closet. It would not be creepy to call him.

I agree, if he gave you his number then he wants you to contact him. The age difference 17-18 is irrelevant for a friendship or relationship (it may be relevant for sex though) so don't let that put you off.
If it's a mobile number perhaps you could text if you are nervous about calling?

I think it would be creepy for you to not call him. He gave you his number! He likes you! Call the boy

You can just call and hang out with him... if you're into him and he's into you, very often you don't need to be a master flirter (funny, the image that sprang to mind was of InaRut  )... things will just magically happen. Hormones are wonderful that way. :eusa_danc

i would say call him, but don't do it with a bucnh of friends or something, just be like ,"yeah i found your number in my room haha, sorry i didn't call." even if he's not into you at least he thinks your interesting in some respect. and don't let him push you into anything you're not comfortable with try being friends for a while before anything happens, then there'sa trust built up and a respect for one another. It might sound like a game but really it's just looking out for yourself.
