So, this is the cover I designed for Full Spectrum 2.0. Remembering Jerry of course. I chose a simple design for this one, with a background image which made me think of the feeling that stays with us when someone goes away.

Just one suggestion - would it be possible to make JayHew's name and date details stand out a little more? It seems to blend into the background a bit compared to the "in memoriam".

Of course.

Look at the top of the page, where it says "Version 1.8.0 (Canopus-alpha)". Changes can be introduced up to the final release ("Version 2.0 (Canopus)").

I think that cover is excellent too. I think it is wonderful and a great credit to Jerry that you are dedicating this issue to him.

I do agree with TriBi that making his name and the dates a bit more prominent would be good, if it's not too much trouble.

Paul, if you're going to print it, use 1.0. 1.1 is 1.0 but with lower resolution graphics, designed for screen output only and reduced file size.

The original title featured rainbows but it was phased out because it was too colorful. And well, Full Spectrum so far has used an "all-lowercase" style but that can be changed if our readers want that.

The idea was keeping it simple. However I admit that I'm a very poor designer. That's pretty much the best I can do.

I invite you to suggest ideas for me to implement, or to design a new header. You're also welcome to post a poll regarding the header (or any aspect of Full Spectrum) you think it should be changed. The decision will be in the hands of our readers.

I think for now we should aim for consistency over a few issues. Perhaps have the current logo etc for 2008 then consider a new look for 2009.

the first edition had red for title ,try a diffrent one for this one? like purple or yellow ...
