Yaaay, I had two write two Valentines poems in my Writer's Craft class today. The first was just a regular put pen to paper and write, and the second one we were given a list of words that we had to cut out & paste to form a poem. These are mine;

Poem #1, Freestyle
Love is in the air
Like a noxious fungal spore
It takes root in your lungs
And suffocates you

It's like little gnomes
Sewn into your pants
That poke you with pins
And pull out your hair

Love is a butterfly
Always fluttering before you
But never coming to you
And looks so pretty

Love is all you need
But of course, believing this
Could cause you to starve
And then you die.

Poem #2, Cut & Paste; Shakespeare
O heavenly name
celestial untainted love
purge the brave violent crimson sin
beloved eternal dreams
I, as myself, shouldst believe
thy tempting lips
I shouldst praise this painted treasyre
tis sweet gentle beauty
who shall sing weary melancholy
you are rich
true muse shine bright
