With the chatroom, only the people in there at the time see what's being said, and you know who they are. So when there's a bunch of regulars who know each other it's really not a problem. You have to remember that someone else could appear at any moment though. Perhaps that's why it seems to go quiet when I go there sometimes.... ;)

With the forum everyone including people who aren't members can see what you're saying.

yeah with ppl showing up at random it can be awkward at times, i know i have pressed enter just as sum1 entered the chat many times and to try to explain what i was talking about took forever, and i had to reassure them that we are not just a load of old pervs :D
